Not sure which product you are looking at! I have the Cliff Zwickey Barbed
Broadheads CZS112, the package is marked screw-on and 175 grains. My units
have an aluminum male threaded adaptor glued into the steel broadhead and
with an average weight of 178 grains. Hope this helps.

  • Q:

I was looking at getting some brass washers along with these broad heads. Which size brass washer should I get in order for them to not stick out of the radius of the broad heads shaft. 5/16th or 11/32th?
    Asked on 9/25/2012 by Dale

    • A:

I favor the 5/16 adapter because my hunting shafts are 5/16 or less in diameter. I would go with the 5/16, unless you are using the larger (target size)shafts.

      A:

The ferrule on the broadhead is 11/32, you would be able to use the 11/32 or the 5/16 brass washers with these.

      A:

The end of the broadhead measeured 0.377". My arrows screw-in insert
measured 0.367". So the 11/32" brass washer should work fine

      A:

No, these heads are not sharp out of the box. These do have a factory ground edge but will need some attention before use.

  • Q:

so i ended up purchasing these cause i love the look along with fred eichlers easton axis arrows but what is the advantage to a barbed broadhead ? and or disadvantage?-

    • A:

Advantage-The barbs make it difficult to pull out, if not a pass thru shot. Disadvantage- If not a clean shot, recovery is unlikley. Again difficult to pull out.

      A:

A barbed Broadhead does not allow the head to back out as easily from the animal causing more damage to the animal. You will need to check your local game laws to see if this is legal in your state.
