    hi - i was wondering if anyone knows the actual grit of these stones. my plan was to use:

    1. the grobet file
    2. then the coarse stone
    3. then the medium/fine stone
    4. then the 1000 grit stubby jewel stick.

      The grit of the coarse stone is 60 the fine is 120.

      To sharpen your broadheads I would actually recommend to use the coarse stone first then the fine. For the final edge I would use the leather strop. Starting with coarse stone there should be no problem taking off the factory edge and getting your initial angle. Once you have achieved this now you can go to the fine stone and do the finishing work. Once you have a good edge on the blade no you can take and strop this on the leather, the leather is going to give the blade the razor sharpness by taking the burr off that you created from the stones. The key to a good edge when using the stones is to use the same amount of pressure on each side of the blade on each stroke.
