Q: can these be cut in the end of an arrow Asked on 2/8/2011 by ron from amarillo Know the answer? Q: Are the strong enough for hog hunting? Asked on 8/22/2010 by greenhorn bowyer from St. Louis Mo. Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Yes, the Stone Hunting point is strong enough to handle anything a metal broadhead can take. Elk, deer, hog, bear, etc. I am not saying they wont break (as plenty of metal broadheads break) but they will hold up well. Answered on 8/23/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery A: Yes. I have used stone points exclusively for hunting large and small game over the last 10 years and they are surprisingly robust. Try to aim low or take a quartering away shots to avoid hitting the shield on a larger hog. Accurate shot placement is of utmost importance with stone points. If you miss and hit a tree or rock the point could suffer heavy damage or even break in half. But most stone points that hit the vitals suffer very, very little damage, if any at all.
