  • Q:

I want to use them on 1916 game getters. It says the width of the arrow head is 9/16. The width of these it says is 10/32. Can I use these on those arrows?

The smallest size washers we have are the 5/16". They will work but you will have a little lip due to them being a little bigger than the shaft.

You can use them but if you shoot into a 3-d target the excess that hangs out will tear the target up.  One or two shots will not be a big deal but continued use will reduce the life of your target.  If you are trying to add weith there is another option it is called the PDP weight system and it can be found under
broadheads/points /weight system.  Each washer is 5 grains and the adapter that fits behind your insert weighs 5 grains which allow you to accomplish the same thing with a more streamlined arrow.

what size weight do I need for the Easton FMJ ?

      A:

If I'm reading the chart correctly, it looks like the one that is going to match up the closest to the Easton FMJ's are the 5/16" (or 10/32" or 20/64") Brass Weight Washers. Although, it looks like the washers are going to be slightly larger in diameter than the 340 & 300 FMJ's (9/32")...and even more so on the 500 & 400 FMJ's (17/64").

You will need to sue the 5/16 and they will still be a little big.

  • Q:

Which one would work on the following arrows
    Easton St Axxis N-Fused 300
    Easton FMJ Dangerous Game 250
Gold Tip Kinetic Hunter Big Game 200

      A:

All of those shafts are 9/32. The brass washers only go down to a 5/16. In order to use the washer and get a smooth transition, you would need to use a 5/16 points and a Broadhead Adapter Ring.

  • Q:

I just bought a dozen legacy arrows and shoot a 50# pse coyote and my arrows are flying tail up and down. My arrows are for a 50,55 pound bow and I am useing 125 gr. field pionts. I have not checked my FOC yet but was just wondering if maybe weights would help the spine a little better.

      A:

A purposing motion will normally mean either the spine is a little stiff, or the nock point is too low/too high. The arrows will have a recommend range that they should be used. This range is provided by the manufacturer and is not necessarily right for every shooter. In order to check for the spine of the arrows I recommend a field point test kit. You can try the different weight field points and see if any of the make the problem better or worse. For the nock point, you will just need to move it up or down in order to find the sweet spot. I normally start with mine about 3/8" above center and work from there.

  • Q:

What is the thickness of the 5/16" brass washers? I need to go from 125 gr. to 145gr. and wondering if 4 washers together will be to thick.

      A:

The washers are .063" thick on average. You can get two on one arrow easily. With three on the arrow the point is only catching by a few threads. If you put four on the arrow the point can not screw in at all.
