  • Q:

I am looking for a quality glue that comes in a dispenser for use with installing the easton HIT break off weighted inserts inside my easton FMJ 400 shafts. I see that Dale recommends Power Bond in his video but it appears that you dont sell it anymore. Is Insert Iron an acceptable alternative? If not, what glue do you recommend for installing the Easton HIT weighted break off inserts inside the Easton 400 FMJ shafts.

Also, I bought a grain scale a couple weeks ago that has been malfunctioning. It will not calibrate despite following the instructions. What is your return policy? I just want to return it for another scale that works.

I would recommend using the epoxy that comes with the arrows when you buy them. If the grain scale does not work you may send it back and we can send you another one out.

  • Q:

Is this easily heat-reversible? On carbon or wood shafts?

      A:

Insert Iron is recommended for use with carbon and aluminum arrows, not for wooden arrows. Heat reversing any glue with carbon arrows can lead to a weakening of the end of the shaft. Do not apply heat directly to the shaft or insert. I recommend using a field point to apply the heat.

can i use this for nocks and broadheads on wood arrows?

      A:

I do not recommend this for wooden arrows. It does not bond to wood very well. I recommend Fer-L-Tite for the points and the fletching glue for the nocks.

  • Q:

Does this stuff work? Do you just dab a little bit on the insert and spin it down into the end of the shaft?

    No heat? No mess?

      A:

Yes, this is what we use when mounting inserts into our own arrows. You apply it to the inserts and then rotate the insert as you push it in to make sure that you get an even distribution. Wait a few hours for it to dry and then you will be good to go.
