    i have the three rivers sharpener about the same size and make. i still cant get the edge i like. do you think its better?

      That will depend on the other style of sharpener that you have. If it is another diamond stone then this one will not do you much good. You would want to try a different style. I recommend trying one of the CC sharpeners. The KME kits also work very well.
