  • Q:

For the Easton ICS "CB" 8-32 Shaft Insert, what is the outside diameter of the insert in inches? What is the length of the shaft insert that must fit inside the arrow shaft? As I am not familiar with how the shaft insert is secured, is it a pressure fit, or is it glued?
Asked on 7/17/2013 by Disaster Guy from East TX

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The Diameter that fits into the shaft measures .2445 diameter and the length is 1.200 long. These inserts are glued in and a 2 part epoxy works the best.

What tips can I use in these inserts?
    Asked on 12/28/2012 by skyman

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

You can use any standard screw-in point.

Our screw-in steel field points are designed to fit all carbon and aluminum arrows as they have an industry standard 8-32 thread. This is the same thread used by all arrow inserts (except Easton Deep Six).

These inserts are for a carbon arrow. They will not work on wooden arrows. You will need to purchase glue on points for the wooden arrows.

I do not know. We do not have any Goldtip shafts to try them in. I know that they are intended for Easton shafts. I do not know which inserts you will need for the Goldtips.
