The adapter you have is for aluminum shafts such as those made by Easton. I have never shot carbons so I am not familiar with the inside diameter (ID) of the shaft. Call 3Rivers or the shaft manufacturer and ask what the inside diameter is of the shaft in question and what they recommend for a swaged insert. Carbon are usually much skinnier than wood and aluminum so there will likely be a necked down area to make it taper to the shaft...
If really wanting to glue on might want to consider trying some wood shafts....they get a bum rap from the guys that swear by carbon but I have stopped using aluminum and been shooting wood for 2 decades and absolutely love wooden shafts. I prefer Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce or Lodgepole/Chundoo for the strength to weight ratio...much more durable than cedar.
Good luck and sorry I could not help on your specific problem.
