You will want to use a safety slide on the arrow so that your line is always in front of the reel. You will also want to make sure you are using the line retaining clip that is on the reel. The line retaining clip is the little piece of metal that is under your string. once you have wrapped your line on the drum you will take and slide the remaining line into the clip to keep it from unraveling on you before a shot.
