  • Q:

Can this be mounted on the longbow riser face and function correctly? My brace height is such that the tip of my fletching is on the shelf. I use Easton axis arrows and wish to travel the woods with a securely held arrow. Would I be better off with the arrow holder which is meant to be mounted on the face and obviously the axis small diameter would not be a problem. Which would work best for me? Kindly counsel me with your expert advice. Tx. Jim Crandall

In your case I recommend Item #7724 arrow holder that is mounted on the front of your bow.

Im afraid it wouldn't work that way because it would be in the way of the arrow, and the quick loc arrow holder releases the arrow when you draw. Maybe you could add a few twists to your bow string to bring back your brace height and it would bring yor arrow fletching back as well. I hope this helps let me know how you make out.

Hi there! I by no means consider myself an expert however you have some options of either try to see if you can install the arrow holder on the forward part of your bow's Riser or see if you can get more clearance from your arrow by slightly moving the fletching back on your arrow to get more clearance. As far as mounting it on your particular longbow, there should not be a problem and it should function as designed. Also it is not really a wise idea to have your fletching so close to your shelf on the riser to begin with! I would also highly recommend using Velcro backing on the sticky side of your arrow holder and on your riser so you have the option of easily removing it for various hunting or shooting applications.
Hope this helps and good luck to you!

Im not sure if it would hurt the finish,But I wasn't worried about what was under the sticky pad, if it ever where's out I'll put another one on because it works so well. But if you use it and don't like it I don't think the sticky residue would harm it and you can clean it off with rubbing alcohol I use it to take pine pitch off my bows. When in doubt don't use it. I personally love it on all my bows.Hope this helped.

Hi there. I don't think you will have any damage what so ever on the finish of your bow but a smart thing you can do is to use same size Velcro to attach your arrow holder on your bow! This way you have the option of removing or attaching your arrow holder depending on your hunting situation. For example you can attach your arrow holder when you are in a tree stand and you can peel it off when you are stocking prey in the woods or even just during practice!
Hope this helps and may you be blessed.

Hi. Yes, it should work on just about any Recurve bow and even some long bows! Just pay close attention to where you will be placing it to get optimal performance! Good Luck!

I shoot a 1996 Hoyt Pro Star Legecy compound with fingers. The center shot is 3/4 out from the face of the bow. Will this reach? Will this fit around a 2613 Easton Shaft?

This arrow holder will reach that far. The 2613 would be a tight fit.

It should reach. However, you might have to slice the flap on the holder a little further in to increase its reach. I don't know if the large diameter shafts will fit ( 2216 shafts do), but if not you can tape the holder securely crossways over the holder tabs to a piece of wood with sufficient depth to allow you to then drill them to a size that will hold your shaft. Use a variable speed drill and start slowly with very little pressure. Good luck!

The answer to both of your questions is yes. You may have to allow the very near edge of the adhesive backing to be off of your riser, but there is more than enough left to hold. When the Kwik-lok is brand new, I put a LIGHT swipe of vaseline, or similar, on the arrow at the point of contact with the arrow holder for a few shots. After that, it is generally no problem. Also, if your nocks have a loose connection with your string, the Kwik-lok will pull the arrow off the string instead of releasing, so pinch the arrow nock briefly as you begin to draw.

The rubber tubes are to be used as wedges for smaller diameter shafts.

I tested one out on an Axis arrow I had from a few years ago. It held, not a overly tight fit, but it didn't fall out of the hold. You may want to shrink the diameter by using one of the supplied rubber rings, but as is, the Kwik-Lok Arrow Holder did work on holding my Axis arrow in place.
