Q: what is the width of the Hickory blank and the bamboo backing? Asked on 3/28/2013 by Curt Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The hickory blank will be between 1 1/2 and 1/14 inches. Most of them are closer to 1 1/2 inches. Q: Would I be able to cut the length of this build down to something like 60"? Asked on 2/19/2013 by Sizzle Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I would not recommend to cut this down to 60". Being an all wood bow it will not be as smooth if it were shorter. Also cutting this down it will have a lot more stress on the limbs possibly causing it to break. Answered on 2/20/2013 by Art from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Can i cut centre or past centre shelf without the need of glued on riser? Asked on 1/10/2013 by longbow freak from kuwait Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I would not recommend cutting the shelf on this bow to center or past center. You will weaken the riser too much. Answered on 1/10/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery

Q: would you recommended this for a beginner and what is the max weight for this kit Asked on 10/23/2010 by tk1994 from long island new york Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This is good kit for a beginner that wants more involvement with gluing up a backed bow. I highly recommend you get the short instructional booklet, "Building the Narrow, Rounded Belly English Longbow Made Simple" http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=8565-2As for a max I really do not have any numbers to back it up, but most of our kits it is 70# max, but it depends on the bowyer.
