    Will this tip protector fit a Great Northern Recurve bow with the thicker Fast Flight Phenolic tips?

      Hi:
      I use these protectors on my bows, but they might not fit just every bow. I have a Samick Red Stag and the tips of the limbs are too wide. If these you are asking about are sort of plasticky and not super flexible, they are the ones that can be too narrow for the limb tip. There is another that eRivers sells that is somewhat softer and more flexible. I bought one of those for my Red Stag.
      Sorry I could not be more definitive. I am at work right now and my equipment is at home.

      PS: I know that money and sometimes time can be an issue, but this sort of tip protector is not very expensive. If cost is not a worry, you might consider ordering a couple different types. When you get them try the most likely candidate and send the other back unopened.

      These do not come in pairs only singles. This is to be used on the lower limb tip to keep it from getting scratched up.

  • Q:

    When using these on a longbow, how do you get it to stay on. Is the bowstring supposed to go through the small hole ?

      A:

      In the picture, the bow on the left is a longbow tip. You may need to trim the bow tip protector down so it does not interfere with shooting, but it slides right over the tip and string groove. I like to trim a "V" on the belly of the bow for where the string separates from the bow.
