      A:

Yes, it should work with either right or left handed bows. Yes, it's very easy to adjust.

  • Q:

This may be a very rookie question but I am a rookie at this. I see how the pin will help ypu sight in the verticle (up & down). How do you aim left or right? I guess I am asking what is the "back sight" on a recurve bow?
    Thanks.

The previous answer stated to look 'through' the string. That is helpful but to be more precise, you want to begin with a consistent anchor-point, where the string sits on your face. Pay attention to where the string naturally rests when you anchor. Is it to the right or left of your dominant eye? Remember that position and make sure you always draw to the same point.

The pin is adjustable in and out. I like the pin extended nearly all the way out, but that's just me. Everyone will be different and it will change with your arrow's spine.

You will want to raise and lower the pin first, then spend some time adjusting the pin extension to zero it in. If the pin isn't long enough, you can buy longer pins at an archery shop.

There are different methods to achieve it. I would suggest looking "through" the string. Basically, keep you eye in line with the arrow.

  • Q:

I want to put this on a self-bow, so I don't want to screw it in, and I'm not sure how to tape it. Is there some trick to it, or do you just literally wrap tape around it? What kind of tape do you recommend? And lastly, why is it not recommended for a take-down? Thanks.

      Hi Pastor Josh,

You can absolutely use this with a take down, that is what I'm doing.

Tape can be tricky because you don't want this thing to move once it is secured. Also, realize that adhesives can wreck a wood finish, as can the adhesive removal process, e.g. the use of GooGone etc.

If you want to make sure you don't damage the bow now, or in the future, I recommend you use blue painter's tape and first wrap the ends of the sight to protect the bow from sharp edges, then use the tape attach it to the bow. This won't be a super strong method of attachment but it won't damage the bow either.

A more secure adhesive attachment would use a strong double sided foam tape but beware, those adhesives are TOUGH. You could also try adhesive backed velcro.

Have fun and God bless you Pastor Josh.

I recommend eletrical tape for attaching, but you can use anything you like. Just wrap it around the bow at the connection points. Keep it off the working part of the limbs if you can though.

As for not takedowns, we found it does not have enough solid riser space to attach properly.

  • Q:

This sight is what I think I am looking for, only can additional pins be purchased for it?

If the pins don't need to be too close together, you could be two sights and move the pin from one to the other.

No, if you want multiple pins then get the eagle eye sight
