    Im trying to find a blue arrow shelf rest and plate, and i was wondering if i could dye this a blue color, and it still be useful?? I mean the white can it be dyed and still be used or is there a product that is not adhesive backed that could be dyed?

      I don't see why you couldn't dye the white calf hair rest and plate blue using rit dye. Water should not affect the adhesive as long as the temperature is within reason ( under 80 degrees F.).

      I would suggest trying a blue magic marker in what ever shade you choose rather than using a real fabric or leather dye.
