Q: Is the Bear Weatherest made in the USA? Asked on 2/9/2013 by Tom Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Yes it is made in the USA, Evansville IN Answered on 2/11/2013 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery A: I don't know, but they work well. The best thing is to go the Bear web page and contact them. I used one for a kids bow. Personally , I shoot off the shelf. Answered on 2/10/2013 by Anonymous A: The weatherest I purchased from 3Rivers says Made in USA on the package. Answered on 2/10/2013 by Anonymous
Q: Hello. Would this rest work fine with a Samick Sage? Thank you Asked on 1/29/2013 by Max from Caracas, Venezuela Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: The Bear Weatherest will work perfectly with the Samick Sage T/D Bow. The rest is sturdy enough for hunting arrows as well as target arrows. Since the riser is cut past center, it can work well with other arrow rests that a cushion plunger can be used. With the riser shelf crowned, a traditional shelf rest ("rug rest" with leather backing) will work well also. The Bear Weatherest will last a long time. Answered on 2/4/2013 by Anonymous A: Yes, this rest would work just fine on a Sage. Answered on 1/30/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: Yes, just line up the plate with the deepest part of the grip. Answered on 1/30/2013 by Anonymous A: Will work just fine Sent from my U.S. Cellular® Android-powered device Answered on 1/29/2013 by Anonymous
Q: Hello I have a Martin Jaguar Takedown, and I was wondering whether I can use this arrow rest on my Martin rest mount? I wasn't sure Martin rest mount is wide enough for this Bear weatherest. Asked on 1/22/2013 by Harold from Acme, PA Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: I think it would work just fine. Just make sure the plate lines up with the deepest part of the grip. Answered on 1/23/2013 by Anonymous A: The Bear Weatherest will work just fine with your Martin Jaguar. Buy two because they will eventually wear out - they are inexpensive. By the way, there are some good YouTube videos on the Jaguar set-up. It seems that buyers don't like the arrow rest that comes with the kit so you are probably wise to buy the Bear. Google "Martin Jaguar Takedown" and you will see links to the YouTube vids. Good Luck, Bob in Texas Answered on 1/23/2013 by Anonymous A: This will fit the rest mount. Q: how do you install a bear arrow rest Asked on 11/13/2012 by moc Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The rest comes with adhesive backing. It is just peel and stick. Answered on 11/14/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: Comes with sticky-back tape. Simply peel and stick where you want it. Place arrow on rest and nock end on string to align prior to final placement. Answered on 11/13/2012 by Anonymous
Q: Any problems with having 2 nock points on a string, one for rest and one for shelf? Asked on 6/23/2012 by Dave from Kansas City Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Many archers (including myself) prefer to use a nocking point above and also below the nock as a more secure nock set. During the process of tuning some traditional bows, arrow flight can often be better once the proper nock set position on the string is determined. The nock is prevented from sliding downward upon release of the arrow. Thus improving arrow flight and stabilization of the arrow. Sent from my iPad Answered on 6/23/2012 by Anonymous A: It would be useless to have two nock points because if you have a rest on the riser there would not be enough clearance to shoot off the shelf. I suppose you could put a rest up high enough so that you could shoot off the shelf, but it would severely limit any accurracy. It would also probably cause excessive noise due to the arrow being so far off center of the bow. Answered on 6/23/2012 by Anonymous A: Having two different nocks will not be a problem for the bow, but it will make it more difficult to be consistent. I would recommend using one or the other. Which one will be personal preference. Answered on 6/25/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery

Q: I own a Bear Whitetail II compound bow purchased in 1985 or 1986 with a broken arrow rest. I want to replace the rest. The Bear Weatherest you offer looks like it's a match. Is there a more appropriate replacement for a bow that age or is this the right one? Thank you for your assistance. Kevin Asked on 12/10/2011 by Kevin from Hamburg, NY Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This will be the closest match for your compound. I believe Bear has changed the design a little but it should work. Q: Will this allow me to shoot plastic vanes without alot of deflection? Asked on 4/8/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: Yes, this will cut down on the deflection of the plastic vanes. We still recommend that you shoot arrows with real feathers off of any traditional bow. Answered on 4/9/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: Heck No. It deflects like crazy. Answered on 5/3/2011 by dkangel from Wildwood, MO. A: I used plastic vanes with a rest just like this and the vanes ripped the rest apart. I bought some feather fletched arrows and my accuracy increased by leaps and bounds. I would just buy some feather fletched arrows, because vanes just do not work in a traditional bow. Answered on 4/9/2011 by local yocal from Northeast IN A: Bear weatherest is made of fairly soft flexible rubbery stuff, so the rest arm moves aside fairly easily. This means your arrow's vanes won't get bumped off course too much. Having said that, it's no thin spring-loaded arm like some of the other rests, so there'll still be a bit of deflection. But better than some of the hard plastic jobbies out there. Answered on 5/19/2011 by Gus the Hack from Sydney, Australia
