Q: What size is best for the "B50 Flemish String"? Asked on 2/11/2013 by El Nino from San Luis Obispo, CA Know the answer? Answer this question 6 answers A: Nocks are ususally offered in small, medium, large. The best size would depend on your bow weight (string thickness). So a 50 lb. bow with a Flemish String would normally be medium. Flemish strings may have more thickness. Bows above 50 or 50 lb will probably take a large nock. Some of the string servings are wound tighter so a medium size would probably be the best. Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: Medium Sent from my iPad Answered on 2/11/2013 by Anonymous A: the best is the M size for 16 gauge strings Answered on 2/11/2013 by Anonymous A: Medium works well with this string Answered on 2/11/2013 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery A: I use the medium (black) size on a 14 strand B50 string. Everybody else I see seems to use the same. Answered on 2/11/2013 by Anonymous A: I used to try to keep different sizes of brass string nocks on hand for different sizes of strings, but I have learned that the medium size works well on all of my strings. They will fit strings made of B50 just fine. Sent from my iPad Answered on 2/11/2013 by Anonymous

Q: So a 15 strand sting from you guys could be either a medium or large? I have 12/14 strand nocks those are to small right? Asked on 1/5/2013 by Hawkgirl from Grand forks, ND Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: For a Flemish String made of B-50 Dacron with a good twist in it the medium nocks will work fine. IF it is a B-50 Dacron Flemish twist string and it has a good twist in it, AND it has a good serving job done mid string the medium nocks will work, but will be JUST this side of too small, the flip side being the large nocks will be too large in this case and while they WILL crimp the will move on you every so often. If you are talking about fastflight then you need the large nocks. Answered on 1/8/2013 by GoodOlBoy from Deep East Texas A: More than likely they will be too small to fit around the string, but you will still be able to use them. Just make sure not to tighten them so far that you cut the strands of the string. Answered on 1/7/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: If your nock sets are too small, they won't close completely without pinching the string. But they will function, if not elegantly, not fully closed. You can always try the large size, and if too large, well.... A dremel type tool, or even a good sharp blade and file (even a nail file on soft brass) can make it as much smaller as you need. Of course, you could always purchase an assortment and go with trial and error. Hope this is helpful. Have fun! Answered on 1/5/2013 by OZARK HILLBILLY from MISSOURI

Q: What size nock for a 50# Samick Sage and a 35# Samick Sage? Asked on 11/13/2012 by Pam from Centerville, OH Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: MA'AM- AS THE PURPOSE OF THE SET IS TO CONSISTENTLY INDEX THE ARROW NOCK ON THE STRING, THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION, WITHOUT ANY WASTE. SIMPLY BUY SETS IN ALL THREE SIZES. A SMALLER SET WILL TIGHTEN ON A LARGER DIAMETER STRING- BUT DON'T OVER CRIMP- AND STILL FULFILL ITS PURPOSE. NOT "PRETTY", PERHAPS- YET FUNCTIONAL. A LARGER SET CAN FIT A SMALLER DIAMETER STRING IF YOU HAVE A SMALL, SHARP BLADE, AND A SMALL FILE- A FINGERNAIL FILE WILL SUFFICE, IF NEED BE.. AND YOU CAN MAKE THE FIT PERFECT. AND IF A MEDIUM SET IS CORRECT AT THE GET-GO, YOU HAVE BOTH LARGE AND SMALL AS FALL-BACKS IF REQUIRED. EXPENSE IS HARDLY AN ISSUE IN THIS CASE. FIND WHAT'S RIGHT TO BEGIN WITH, AND THEN YOU NEED NOT EXPERIMENT AGAIN. WITHOUT THOUSANDS, OR MILLIONS, SPENT ON R&D. JUST A FEWW DOLLARS FOR ADAPTABLE PARTS. I HOPE THIS WAS OF SERVICE TO YOU. TO BE HAPPY IN WHAT YOU DO SHOULD BE THE UTMOST CONCERN, AND LEARNING SHOULD BE A HAPPY EXPERIENCE. ENJOY! Answered on 11/13/2012 by OZARK HILLBILLY from MISSOURI A: Samick sends the same strings with both bows. You will need to use a medium string nock. Answered on 11/13/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: The string nock size you need is determined by how many strands are in the bow string. For bows of the poundage that you have indicated, I would assume that they've got between 12 and 16 strands, so I would probably choose a medium string nock. cheers, wade Answered on 11/13/2012 by Anonymous

Answer this question 2 answers A: You will wan to use the medium size for the 54" Polaris string. Answered on 10/1/2012 by Art from 3Rivers Archery A: I HAVE A 50# BEAR MONTANA LONGBOW WITH A FLEMISH TWIST STRING THAT A LARGE NOCK SET FITS WONDERFULLY. THE SIZE OF THE SET IS DEPENDENT ON THE DIAMETER OF THE STRING OR SERVING WHERE IT IS TO BE PLACED. WHEN IN DOUBT, BUY A SET OF ALL THREE SIZES. THEY AREN'T TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE. HOPE THIS HELPED. Q: I recently got medium nocks for my 16 strand Dacron strings (also purchased from 3Rivers)but the nocks don't seem to want to wrap all the way around the string. The nocks should completely wrap around the string correct? Also are there any tips to removing the nocks with nock pliers? Asked on 11/18/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Yes, you will want the nock to wrap all the way around the string. There are really no tricks to getting a string nock off. You will want to get the pliers into the crease and try to force them apart slowly. Answered on 11/22/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: Use the red nocks they are bigger, and better for large diameter strings. Answered on 4/11/2012 by UrbanDeerSlayer from Southwest, PA A: I had the same issue, I just ordered some larges and I hope they'll fit correctly. Haven't removed my previous ones yet with the pliers so I'm not sure about that. :) Answered on 4/24/2012 by KyoTe from ATL
