    I bought these and they work fine but every time Shoot a bunch of little fibers from the silencer fly off and fall like rain. also it seems like a few of the strands(from the silencer)are coming out of one side of the silencer. I have a normal 56" Fred bear fast flight string. Did I install them incorrectly? I followed the instructions on the video and I still don't get it.

      This is one of the most durable hair silencers. Ive never put them in a compound but as long as their installed properly I don't think you will have any problem.

      The Musk Ox string silencers are our #1 selling string silencer. It has great water shedding properties, effectively quiets the string and no loss in arrow speed. You can not ask for any thing better than that.

  • Q:

    I purchased these for my longbow with fast flight string and installed them exactly as per the video but I'm having difficulty making them staying in place. They are also causing the sting to separate a few inches past the silencer on both sides even after being strung. Is this a problem with my string or did I install them incorrectly?

      It sounds like you are using a endless loop string. You can have the gap when you use string silencers in a endless loop. A couple options you have are to put a slight twist in the string, or you can use some nylon serving material and tie the Musk Ox string silencers in place, this wont completely close the gap, but should help a lot. The string used in the YouTube video is a Flemish Twist string which works better for using string silencers.
