Q: The package comes with four so for recurves, is it two on the top and two on the bottom? Or does it come with four pieces because it can be used with compound bows that have two set of strings? Asked on 8/5/2012 by mike from Honolulu Know the answer? Answer this question 7 answers A: two on the top and two on the bottom Answered on 8/6/2012 by Anonymous A: yes 2 on top and 2 on bottom. you can move them up and down or closer or further from each other, till you find that sweet spot where any vib. is gone Answered on 8/6/2012 by Anonymous A: I shoot traditional, and found that two quiet the string noise nicely, however if you feel you need a little more, try using them in pairs about two inches apart from each other to start with. After you try it you can fine tune it by moving the silencers a little one way or another. I start with having the silencers about 6" from the tips of the bow. Good shooting. jim Answered on 8/6/2012 by Anonymous A: Yes you can put two on top an two on bottom on your recurve, but just putting one on top an bottom made a big difference. So not sure why you would need to put two on a recurve. Answered on 8/6/2012 by Anonymous A: For the best string noise isolation I would use two on top and two on the bottom. Answered on 8/6/2012 by Art from 3Rivers Archery A: We are using two at the top of the bow string and two on the bottom of the bowstring and we space them evenly. The work great on recurves and longbows. Dina Answered on 8/6/2012 by Anonymous A: Each trad bow is a little different so try different combos Answered on 8/7/2012 by Anonymous
Q: How do these silencers actually increase the speed of a bow? I find that a little hard to believe. Asked on 6/23/2012 by Tay from Dallas, TX Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I can't confirm that these actually increase the speed of your bow. I got them for ease of installation and their simplicity. I was using the Puff Yarn silencers before and I was always pulling beggars lice out of them and they didn't shed water very well. I could see where they might increase the speed a little depending on what you are currently using. They are condiserably smaller than the Puff Yarn silencers they replaced plus the Puff Yarn silencers had beggars lice embedded in some the yarn that increased their weight and resistance. I am using them on my longbow and have been happy with them, but I didn't buy them hoping they would increase my bow speed. Hope this helps out! Good Luck! Chris Answered on 6/24/2012 by Anonymous A: They will typically provide an increase over other silencers. They weigh less and generate less drag. This allows the string to transfer more energy into arrow. Answered on 6/25/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: How do these attach to the string? Asked on 2/14/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 5 answers A: You have to remove the string from at least one end of the bow. Take a piece of small diameter wire, and go through the string loop. Run the ends of the wire through the hole in the center of the bow jax, and pull the wire and string through using a pair of pliers. Reinstall string, and adjust where needed. Answered on 2/29/2012 by pheonixarcher on tradgang.com from Traverse City, MI A: They slide on over the end of the string. Answered on 3/5/2012 by onemoreshot from Watertown, Mn. A: The slide onto the string; similar to No-Glovs or finger savers. Answered on 2/16/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: I took a small pair of needle nose pliers and inserted in bojax...then using a sturdy oiece of fishing line looped thru bow string pull the bow string thru...very easy Answered on 3/22/2012 by the Olde Catfish from Long Island New York A: use a bobby pin (stolen from wife) insert it on loop of bowstring, insert end thru bowjax, grab end of bobby pin with pliers and pull bow string thru Bowjax.
