Q: Does anyone know if I'll have problems unstringing my Hoyt Dorado if I put these things on my limbs? Asked on 4/26/2013 by Simmy from Jacksonville, FL Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: These can make it a bit more difficult to unstring, but normally they are not a problem. Answered on 4/29/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Would these work on Oneida bows? Asked on 5/25/2012 by Patrick from United States Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You can mount these onto an Oneida, but they generate so much noise I do not know how much it would help to reduce the noise. Answered on 5/29/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: I have shoot a 45# Martin Hunter. Will these affect the speed of my bow? Asked on 2/10/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Anything that you add to the limbs or the string will effect the speed of the arrow. You will not notice a dramatic drop in velocity with these. Maybe only a foot per second or so. Answered on 2/16/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: these will not effect the speed of the bow because they are placed where the the string stops and where the limb moves very minimal. Answered on 5/16/2012 by neilbilly from ohio

The PA Whitetail Season is approacing quickly, so I'm eager for an answer! Asked on 8/23/2011 by Doug from PA Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: I use them along with string silencers. Answered on 8/25/2011 by Shawn from 3Rivers Archery A: Doug I think you will still need something on the string like slugs or whiskers but I don't know for sure. Q: Just placed an order for some but after thinking about it... I was just wondering if the Stiktamer gets in the way when trying to string and un-string your bow? Asked on 5/14/2011 by OliverQ from Sudbury, ON Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: I have not tried to string or unstring a bow with the Stiktamers on. It looks like it might. It would depend on the size of your string loops. Answered on 5/17/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: In no way does the stiktamer hinder the stringing or un-stringing of the bow. Most guys use a stringer which is in contact on the other side of the limb. Answered on 5/21/2011 by The obsessed Bowhunter from S.W. OHIO A: Considering where these are placed I would say they shouldn't cause a problem with unstringing your bow. They should however have an added bonus of acting like a string keeper as well as the listed uses of it. Answered on 7/18/2011 by IneffableOne from Edmonds, WA A: I found that they work as advertised, BUT also found that after repeated unstringing my recurve, the upper string loop put too much pressure on the Stiktamer causing it to tear away from the limb. They were installed according to instructions. A bow stringer does not affect them, they just keep the string taught when unstrung causing eventual failure to stay attached to the limb. If you leave your bow strung, they work just fine. Answered on 11/30/2011 by apache arrow from Carlsbad, NM
