It is personal choice to shoot off the shelf or getting an elevated rest. The elevated rest should have better accuracy, but off the self is more secure from the "hunting" aspect as less parts that can fall off, or get damaged in the woods.
Split finger or 3-Under is personal choice too. 3-under gets the arrow closer to your eye, but you can become proficient with both. Just what you like. I like split as the arrow sits more "secure" on the string to me.
The case that comes with bow is designed for only holding the bow and string. No place for arrows.
