Ideally your nocking point should be set to your bow, shooting style, and
arrows. Typically betw. 1/4" up to about 3/4" from level with your shelf or
rest. Do an internet search for bow tuning or barseshaft tuning. You should
be able to find clear guidance on nocking point setting quite easily. That
being said 1/2' for split or 5/16"-3/4" for 3 under should be good enough
starting points.
