No, the shelf is not cut to center. It is about 3/8" from center. The shelf is radiused though.

The shelf is cut to about 1/2" off centerline and is radius'ed. For
what it's worth, I've had my bow for a year and I like it.

Not that we carry, all they bamboo bows like the reflex\deflex have always been the same color. It all depends on the vender as to what kind of bamboo wood he receives in stock.
