It depends upon your draw length and point weight as well. I would suggest you call one of our techs and they can help get you set up with the correct arrows.

  • Q:

I am interested in the Tred Barta Longbow, have waited for the Celebration. How do the two wood choices differ and also I notice a slightly different curve in each, reg longbow is more crescent and teh Celebration has a slight recurve-like aspect to it. Is there a performance difference or better vibration dampening?
Asked on 4/26/2013 by Vic from Henderson, NV

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The Celebration will preform better than the Standard model due to the reflex/deflex design. It has Futurewood to deaden any vibration as well. It is a "special order" bow, so you will need to place an order before we have one built.

  • Q:

    Hi
Are there quiver mounting inserts in the riser? If not can they be installed prior to shipment without affecting the warranty? If 3rivers will install the riser inserts what would the additional charge be?
    thanks

      A:

No, this bow does not have any inserts in the riser. We do not do custom work on bows, like installing riser inserts. We have the inserts available and installation is simple. It will void some aspects of the warranty, but not all of it.

  • Q:

    Hello,

I'm between the barta bow and the savannah. Does either offer a significant advantage or disadvantage over the other? I currently shoot a Martin Hunter and love it, but just want to throw a long bow into the mix for fun. I'm looking for something fun to shoot and potentially hunt with.

    Thanks

I have the Barta longbow in 50# and 60#. Love them both. You can't go wrong with the Barta longbow.

They are actually very similar bows. You will get close to the same performance out of each and they are both made by Martin Archery.

  • Q:

In the 3Rivers catalog the picture seems to show some sort of "inscription" on the lower limb. Is there something written on the limb or not? If so what is it? Is it possible to get one autographed by Tred?
Asked on 7/19/2012 by Sam C from Rivera TX

      A:

Below the specifications of the bow it says 'Barta Bow by: Tred Bara'. We may be able to get the bow signed by Tred. I do not know if there would be any additional charges involved though. Give us a call at 1-866-587-9501 and we will be able to figure everything out for you.

This bow is 64" from string groove to string groove.

Answered on 6/28/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
    • A:

My 45lbs Barta Bow is 63" from groove to groove (on back of strung bow) and my 40lbs is slightly less, because the grooves are cut a bit further away from the tip.
Two years time difference between buytime. Apparently there are small differences in the bows. (which has to be expected)

I was told that Martin Archery measures length of their bows differently.

Watch out for compliancy with regulations of length with World Archery (<= 160 cm). 63" = 160.02.

      A:

The Savannah has an extra inch and a half to two inches of reflex/deflex over the Barta Bow.
