Q: I have an OMP Mountaineer 2.0 Take Down Recurve that is already factory drilled for sight muonting. What adaptor plate if any will in need to used the SRF sights? Asked on 5/7/2013 by Bill from Central Maryland Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: for my particular setup i used the universal mount on my pse kingfisher so i could also mount a green laser for bow fishing. i really like the way it came out and the final look of the bow. but i was torn between the universal mount and the sticky tab mount. if all i shot were targets would most likely use the sticky tab. for myself i am thinking of picking up another kingfisher and using the sticky tab just for target shoots and small game. Answered on 5/7/2013 by Anonymous A: You want the universal AMO bracket. Answered on 5/7/2013 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery A: Hello, I purchased the eagle four pin sight with bracket to mount the srf sight. Worked great, and left room for a bottom pin to stretch the range of sighting out when necessary. And only five dollars compared to one of the srf specific brackets costing fifteen or twenty. Q: Just curious how this sight would work on a compound bow? And would you reccomend a peep sight if I used it on a compound? Would be using fingers with top finger in corner of mouth as an anchor point. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Asked on 11/18/2010 by Andy from pittsville,Md. Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The SRF sight is an aid to improve instinctive shooting so you could use a peep sight, but that would be getting you away from instinctive shooting. As for your anchor point you can use any anchor you want, and the one you listed is a popular method, as long as you can repeat it shot after shot. I personally put my index finger on my canine tooth as that is more solid anchor point than the corner of my mouth. Answered on 11/23/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery A: I use this as a rear sight on my compound bow. I have eliminated the peep sight by using the rear sight. I find it better in low light conditions. Been using a rear sight setup for 25 years. Experiment, see what works for you. Answered on 12/11/2011 by Bones from NJ
Q: I am relatively new to traditional archery and am shooting a long bow and found a used recurve. I am cross eye dominant and have a tough time with consistency. I have tried compound with sights and I can't see the peep hole and my arrows go left about 16" at 15 yards. Will this sight help me with consistency ? I read reviews about the screw being short, if true, I will really have a hard time setting it. I tried taping an allen wrench long end out and it was about right. Am I screwed or what ? Maybe I should fish...... lol. Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated. Asked on 9/8/2010 by Bubba lips from Chino Valley, Az. Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: If you are left eye dominate but shooting right handed I would highly recommend getting a left handed bow. As you are newer to traditional archery it should be an easier transition. If you did not want to switch, I would use the Universal mounting Tab (item #8177X) as you can put it on either side of the bow riser in order to extend out how far the SRF Hunting sight can go. Keep at it, fishing is fun, but nothing like the thrill of a hunt! Answered on 9/9/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
