  • Q:

How do I know what draw weight to choose? I shoot 62lbs on my compound.
    Asked on 9/27/2014 by Chris

      A:

Usually, you will go somewhat lighter when switching to Traditional Archery as you are holding the total weight at full draw. So it becomes a personal decision with factors like physical strength, what you plan to use the bow for (target or hunting and what type of hunting), and how often you will shoot the bow. Generally for hunting, a 50# - 55# is sufficient.

  • Q:

Is there any difference between the diablo and panther apart from year 2013 vs 2014..also i have seen some panthers advertised as gen2 is this a later model again or are all panthers gen2 and its just advertising (or maybe no such thing), if there is a difference could you please specify improvements from older models, and can you change the string to a fast flight, most reviews say you can but a question earlier was answered with you shouldn't?
Asked on 4/1/2014 by DethBySnuSnu from oz

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

This bow is not fast flight compatible and you must use a Dacron string or else you could damage your bow. There is no difference between the two bows Martin renamed the Diablo.

  • Q:

Could you shoot this bow off the shelf or would you have to put a clipper rest on the bow?
Asked on 3/23/2014 by Ode from North dakota

    • A:

I think this would be a very good rest for the deep-past-center-cut raiser of the diablo/panther : http://www.wicasus.de/aae-cavalier-super-flyte-pfeilauflage

      A:

You can shoot this bow off of the shelf but you would have to build up the shelf with leather or some thicker material of the same durability . Since it is already drilled and tapped for an elevated rest that would be the most simple to do so that you can start shooting right away.

This bow will work well for you. The longer the bow is, the more stable it will rest in your hand therefore allowing you to shoot smoother and with more consistency.
