These bows normally weigh 3 1/2 pounds. The draw weight will affect the actual physical weight of the bow, but only slightly.

Hi Mike,
The Super Grizzly does come with a string. It's a red and black D97 16-strand flemish. If color matters than finding a backup string may be a challenge for you. No willing to pay $25 for a custom string I opt'ed to make my own. Couple spools of D97, the flemish jig, some servicing thread and jig from 3Rivers and you can make 7 strings for the price of 3 custom strings. Also make sure you have a bow square and check your brace heigh often initially as there is some stretch in these strings.
You'll have to install your own nock stop. I strongly recommend tying your own vs the crimp-on. I started with the crimp-on but they're hard to adjust and if crimped to tight will actual cut threw the serving thread.
The bow also comes with a bear hair arrow rest and arrow plate already installed. The bow is so much fun to shot that you may want to order an extras :)))
Hope this helps and enjoy!!
