  • Q:

I just received my woodland DS 62" take down #55. I was wondering what the manufacturer recommends for a brace height? Or if there is a link to this type of technical info as i couldn't find anything on the tomahawk website.
This bow is a thing of beauty btw... really nice

      Hi
You're right, the DS is a real beauty. The 62' longbow will have on average
a string that is 3' shorter, thus 59'. This will bring your brace hight to
7'. I've played around with brace height a bit. Bigger braceheight-more
speed and shock, smaller braceheight-less speed and more string slap. The
7' braceheight seems to be the "sweet spot" on this bow. Hope this helps.
      Happy shooting!

      A:

If the bow is not in stock it normally takes 14 to 16 weeks to have one made.

It depends on what game you are after. Normally between 45# and 55# is enough.

      A:

You will lose 2# to 3# per inch that you draw less than 28". In order to get close to 60# you will need a bow that is 70# to 75#.

  • Q:

I have a 24 inch draw and want to get the fastest Diamond Woodland Hunter possible. Which would be faster for me, the 58-inch 60# or the 62-inch 70#? Is it possible to have a 58-inch made in 65 or 70#?

      A:

You, will need to go with a 62'' bow. We do not build them in 58'' at that poundage.

  • Q:

Hi,I’m from China.Sorry about my terrible English,I hope you can still know my questions, thank you!I have 3 questions about Tomahawk bows,I will be very appreciate for your responses.
A.Can you show me the more photos of bow packs and bows?Include T/D and One peace.
B.As the same price, why “SS”is the best,I like “Woodland Hunter” more,so I want to know how much is “SS” better than “WH”.
C.As the same model, like “Dimond SS”,is T/D and onepeace use the different material?

      A:

      A) I do not have any more pictures of the bows. Because of the difference in wood grains they will all have a unique look. B) The SS has a bamboo backing that will give a few extra feet per second. Usually 5-7. C) The take down and the one piece will use the same material. The take down just uses our system to come apart for easier travel.

I'm not quite sure what kind of gap that you are describing. If you would take some pictures and e-mail them to me (shawn@3riversarchery.com). If you can not do that and are worried about the bow failing, then please send it in for us to check it out.
