  • Q:

Does the bow come with a good bow string or do you need to buy it separately
    Asked on 12/8/2013 by Snoopy

      A:

It comes with a good quality Fast Flight string. There is no reason to buy one separately unless it's for a back up.

  • Q:

I am interested in the #70 bow, but what length should I get? I am '6'"2" 200lbs and I want the bow with the most power. Does the draw weight get easier if the bow is longer? do you lose power if the bow is longer? Should I get the original woodland hunter or the diamond one? I want something that could take down a Montana moose.

      A:

You didn't say what your actual draw lenght is but I am thinking it may be close to 29 to 30 inches; in that case I would suggest a least a 62" bow, a preferred lenght would be 64 inches. You will not be able to distinguish that much difference in speed between the lengths. I prefer the diamond model over the original because of the carbon added to to the limbs for the extra energy. This bow in 50 lbs. with the right arrow shaft combination and accurate shooting will put a moose down easily.

The shelf is cut a 1/16 before center. You can order one that is cut cut past center.

      A:

A good starting point is 7 1/2". I find that all the Tomahawks shoot very well at a 7/12" brace height.

do the reflex deflex limbs make a huge difference

      A:

They make all the difference in the world. They greatly increase the speed and smoothness of the bow and reduce the hand shock by a large amount.

      A:

Longbows are quieter than recurves. And you will not need to change your form. I think it would be easier if you called in. 1-866-587-9501

The Tomahawk Woodland Hunter Longbow is backed with fiberglass and the belly is covered in fiberglass. There is no fiberglass in-between though.
