Answer this question 1 answer A: 14 strands should be more than enough. The smaller you go on strands though, the thicker you will need on serving material to make sure your arrow nocks hold. Q: How many strands of fast flight should I use because with 12 or 14 my nock won't fit on. When I put more serving on it's to big and the nock barely comes off. And will adding more strands make the string a lot slower. Asked on 12/28/2011 by OaKmAn from Wyoming Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer Q: What's the difference between fast flight and fast flight plus ? I've still old fast flight !Can I mix them to make a traditional flemish string ? Asked on 6/9/2011 by levince the nosey parker from Vers, Saone et Loire - France Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The original Fast Flight used Spectra as the main ingredient. After Spectra started being used for other products, Brownell switched over to a Dyneema based string and renamed it Fast Flight Plus. They each have very similar performance and characteristics. I would not recommend putting the two together in one string. Answered on 6/10/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: What is the difference between B-50 string and the fast flight string and is the price difference worth it? And would like to say thank you on my last order from you, we will be doing more business soon. D B Asked on 3/15/2011 by Breezy from Rancho Cordova, Ca Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: B-50 is a softer material that has more stretch to it. It is good for use on older and lower end bows that do not have reinforced limb tips. The Fast Flight is a high performance material. It will get you a few more feet per second. It should not be used on bows that do not have reinforced limb tips. Answered on 3/16/2011 by Justin from 3 Rivers Archery
Q: What is the break strength of the Fast Flight bowstring material? And have you heard of it being used in any other applications? We're considering Dacron for a cable system we've constructed, and would love more technical data on this product. Asked on 11/23/2010 by Vicki from San Francisco, CA Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The breaking strength for Fast Flight Plus bow string material is approx 95 pounds, but this does not mean one strand holds 95 pounds of weight. Before experimenting I would contact Brownell directly as they will be able to tell you more about the string material. I would not recommend it though for anything else than a bow string. Answered on 11/24/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery A: Fast Flight Plus has a break strength of 90 lb.SS. I've use this product for cable systems and strings on my compounds and cable systems built for others and have had no problems. Answered on 2/7/2011 by colorado bob from Rifle, Colorado
Q: What is the difference between the 1/4# and the 1# when making strings. I want to learn to make a string but I don't know which I should buy and why. Asked on 11/13/2010 by Link from Australia Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The only difference between a 1/4 and 1 pound spool is that there is 4 times more material on a 1 pound spool. Two 1/4 pound spools will build around 20-30 strings, depending on the length of the strings that your building. The 1 pound spools are for some one that builds strings for a living or never wants to run out. Answered on 11/15/2010 by Shawn from 3Rivers Archery
