With the compression block you will chuck it up in a vice and with a constant flame on the block with a torch you will then spin the shaft through the hole with a drill. The compression block will take your rounded arrow shafts and make them a size smaller. 23/64 will be 11/32 and 11/32 shaft will turn to 5/16. compressing a shaft will make it around 5 pounds weaker.
