      Yes, you can fletch 5" feathers with this clamp. You will need the rest of the jig too, of course.

    I'm looking to buy a jig, but I shoot both right wing and left wing arrows. Can the jig base be used with the right wing and left wing clamps? Or is there a defferentce between the two bases?

      Yes the base of the J-8 fletcher can be used with different wing clamps. Only need to have one base.

  • Q:

    I already have some wood arrows with helical fletches and I am looking to buy a jig. how do I know if the arrows I have are left or right helical? and do I need a specific wing feather with either jig?

      A:

      If you look at the feather from the back to the front, a left wing feather will look like the letter L and on a right wing feather it will make a back wards L. You will want to match the wing of the feather to the helical or off-set that you are putting on, right wing feather with right helical clamp and left wing feather with left wing clamp.
