how do you measure a nock to know if it is a 11/32 or 5/16?

      A:

My best guess would be to measure the diameter of the opening of the nock.

      A:

You should be able to read the the number on the nock to get the diameter. If not just measure with a ruler or calipers.

  • Q:

Would these nocks fit securely on a 23/64 diameter shaft after its been tapered? If not, what would you recommend?

      A:

Yes, these will fit a 23/64 shaft. You will want to use the 11/32 diameter there will be slight amount of taper showing but this is the biggest size nock that is made.

      A:

Yes they will fit. The the 11/32 are big enough to fit on a 23/63 shaft.

Should I use Duco or Bohning glue with Nirk nocks ??

      A:

It should not matter either way. I tend to use the same glue on the nocks that I use on the feathers.

  • Q:

Are these nocks good to put on a shaft for bow fishing? If not can you tell me some that would be? Thanks.

      A:

I would actually recommend the snap nock for a bowfishing arrow. These will have a tight fit on the string so that the arrow does not fall off in a fast paced shot.

      A:

Yes, these nocks will work well for bowfishing. I recommend that you epoxy them onto the arrow.
