I'm pretty sure they only fit Gold Tip inserts. Some shops use gold tip inserts into non gold tip shafts. So to know for sure you need to know what inserts you have. If they are not gold tips then probably not going to work.

  • Q:

Can I screw this into a standard insert and then screw my broadhead into the weight?
I need to get 175 grains upfront and have 155grain field tips... so I could ad the 20 gain weight and bingo?

These should work fine on any new GT insert. It screws into the back of the insert so if you see the thread you should be fine. These you can simply add as you please to make up point weight. If you need 175gr up front consider using a 50gr insert and shoot 125gr points / broadheads as another option. You have a wonderful variety in judo, blunts, SGH, broad blades etc you can choose from in this grain selection.

The Gold tip weight system screws onto the back of the insert through the nock end you will need to purchase a Gold Tip weight wrench that is long enough to go the full lenght of your shaft. These weights will work for other 5/16 diam. shafts as long as the insert is drilled and tapped all the through. Your broadhead or point will screw on in it's normal position.

If I remember right...I don't think this can be done. I am currently out of the weights or I'd verify.
I'm not sure it would hold up to a hit on something solid if it did work. There isn't a lot of thread there.

Not sure. However, they will only screw into the back of goldtip inserts. They are definitely not the same size as a filed point thread. Much smaller.

  • Q:

Multiple weights can be used by screwing them into one another. Does this mean that they screw into the insert? Also do screw in broadheads screw directly in to the weights?

the weights are screwed into the back end of the inserts. if the inserts are all ready installed you will need to purchase a wrench “10 or 12 dollars”that is inserted at the nock end. I install the weights before gluing in the insert. the weights are a great way to tune your arrows with foc

The weight screws into the bottom or nock end of the insert and additional weight can screw into the first weight. The broadhead or field point screws into the top or "business end" of the insert.

      A:

Yes the weights screw into the insert and your broad head as per normal goes in the inserts. The broad head cannot go directly into the weights. These weights allow you to add as much weight forward of centre (FOC) as you may require in tuning your set-up

No they will not work on a 9/32 shaft like the Easton FMJ. This weight system works with 5/16 Carbon Shafting like Traditional Only, Gold Tip etc. If you need more FOC rather purchase the brass HIT inserts from Easton. They come in 50 to 75gr

You can use this weight system with field points or broadheads. You will need to make sure you are using the GT Acculite inserts though.
