Q: does the length of the insert part that is inserted into the arrow vary in length from weight to weight? like from a 75 grain to a 125 grain? Asked on 2/25/2013 by hungry hunter from hilo, HI Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: No, the lengths and the other outside dimensions are the same, The depth to which the center is drilled out differs, which accounts for the differences in weight. Answered on 2/27/2013 by Blackfeather from Sacramento, CA A: NO, the weight is for each is arrived by taking weight from the inside of the glue-on insert shank that goes into the shaft. GILBERT Answered on 2/26/2013 by Anonymous A: No they are the same size. They get the different weight's by hollowing out the inside of the farrel. Answered on 2/26/2013 by Clint from 3Rivers Archery A: I have ordered only one weight, so I am not sure of the length as the weight varies? I would suggest contacting 3Rivers customer service and ask them to compare two weights for you. Answered on 2/26/2013 by Anonymous
Q: Will these work with the Easton Bloodline arrows in 330 Asked on 2/14/2013 by Nick from Duluth, Mn Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The Bloodline shafts have an H nock. The H series is in between the X and the S series shafts. These adapters will only work for the S and X series. Answered on 2/14/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: If the Bloodline arrows have the same internal shaft diameter as the Maxima 250's they will. Answered on 2/14/2013 by Anonymous
Q: Just wanted to verify that the size stated is for the inside diameter of the shaft. 5/16' (.3125) Thanks Asked on 9/6/2012 by none from Black Diamond Wa Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: The shank of these mikes .244 which is slightly under 1/4". The 5/16 reference is likely for a nominal 5/16" shaft although some of the carbon shafts they fit are well under .3125" wich is the decimal equivalent of 5/16". Answered on 9/6/2012 by Blackfeather from Sacramento, CA A: They mic. at .239-.241 and fit my Goldtip 7595 shafts, not tight. I use flechtite hot melt. Works good, if you melt glue thoroughly. Answered on 9/7/2012 by Anonymous A: The sizes stated are for the outside of the arrow. If you have a 5/16 arrow you would want to use the 5/16 inserts. Answered on 9/7/2012 by Art from 3Rivers Archery
Q: What adhesive do you suggest on the shaft side and for the points/ broad heads? I used hot melt to fix them into my shafts and 2 part epoxy to attach to the heads, what do you suggest? Asked on 2/2/2012 by Jonathan Michelin from NorthWest River,NL Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You can use what you currently are. I personally would reverse what you are doing. Use the Epoxy to glue in the adapter, and hot melt to put the point on. That way the points are easier to remove, but the adapter stays in the shaft always. Answered on 2/3/2012 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Do these inserts work with the Easton Legacy 2020 shafts ? Asked on 1/7/2012 by Strongbow from West Middlesex , Pennsylvania Know the answer? Asked on 12/8/2011 by mulie hunter from fort collins colorado Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The front ferrule, the part the point will glue on to, is solid. The back, the part that glues into the shaft, is hollow. Answered on 12/12/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: What is the best adhesive for these adapters? Asked on 11/28/2011 by CareyE from Lebanon, PA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer Q: do the 9/32 adapters for smaller dia carbons still have an 11/32 taper end on them? Asked on 6/29/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes they do. Answered on 6/30/2011 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Any chance these will fit Grizzlysticks? it would save me using a broadhead with glue-on screw-in adaptor to then screw into an insert. Makes more sense to me to just have one piece of metal joining Head and shaft as there will be less potential failure points. Asked on 6/21/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I measured the outside diameter of the insert that comes with the Grizzly Sticks and the 5/16 size of these inserts. The Grizzly Sticks were .285 and these inserts were .242. You may be able to get them to stay in there with enough epoxy but, It will not be as secure a hold. Answered on 6/21/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Does the weight of the adapter need to be added to the weight of the field point/broad head? For example, 125 gr broad head with 100 gr adapter would give 225 grains total point weight for choosing arrow spine? And once they're added won't it throw off the arrow's balance? Should weight tubes be added to balance the arrow again? Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to get it right. Asked on 5/4/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The weight of the adapter will need to be added to the weight of the point. This will change the balance of the arrow. It will give it more front of center, or FOC. A lot of people are looking for more FOC in their arrows to get better penetration and arrow flight. Moving the weight up front will also cause the dynamic spine of the arrow to weaken. Allowing you to shoot a stiffer and all around heavier arrow. You can add weight tubes if you would like to get the weight of the arrow up even further.
