These 'tips' add about 1 half to 1 inch of length to the shaft, depending on how long you choose to cut you shaft for finish. i shoot a 27 and a half inch shaft and if i'm using these tips i cut my shaft tp 27 inches. Q: I have asked this question before but it did not appear. It has been almost a year since we were told that more of the 5/16" adapters would be in, any update on those? Answer this question 1 answer A: We are working with our vendor on getting them produced, I am afraid I do not have a expected date as to when they will be made and available. As it has been so long, the standard 5/16" and the 11/32" are being taken off our Web site and are already out of our 2012 Master catalog. As soon as we have them in stock they will be turned back online and put into the next printed catalog. Sorry about the weight, we have been working on it though for quite some time now. Q: I would be very intersted in this product or one like it if you could install on straight (non-tapered) shaft. Can they, or is there another product that does this? They will go on just like any glue on point. We have not had any alignment problems with them and the bond has been good with a normal hot melt glue. Answered on 7/30/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: You have to spin the arrow while you grind it to stay centered. Stop frequently to push the adapter on and observe where it "hangs up". Repeat the process until the fit is good. I spin the shafts by hand on a small grinder. Getting the rim (base) even is a trick. Answered on 9/2/2011 by Doc from Pittsburg Kansas

Q: rec'd gift of the (4074)pre finished 45-50lb cedar shafts. measured at 11/32. i purchased the Traditional Only taper tool, and the 11/32 wood screw adapter. After tapering, the adapters do not seem to have much contact area on the shaft(they seem somewhat skewed)Should the shafts be lightly sanded and not tapered at all to make the fit better?
