Q: I have always used white as a base coat to enhance the final color. I see white is not an option. What kind of coverage can I expect if the shafts are dark (black) like Beemans ? Will it take more than two coats to get bright colors? Thank you, Tom in San Diego Asked on 2/1/2013 by Tom in San Diego or M60Gunner from San Diego Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Dear Tom, I used the red color of True North and met with satisfactory results. I did put a coat of primer on the arrows first, but achieved a good color, however my arrow shafts are composed of limber pine and port orford. I dip my arrows four or five times though. I would highly advise being careful when adding water to thin the mixture. It doesn't take a lot and you might even try a dip without adding water to see what results. I have had no problems with paint chipping or fading so far. William of Wyoming Answered on 2/12/2013 by Anonymous A: You should not need more than one coat to get a solid color finish. Q: Can this paint be covered with gasket lacquer? Asked on 9/3/2012 by joe foo from virginia beach, va. Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Sorry, I cannot help: I do not use gasket Lacquer. I have gone to acrylic finishes and paints...... Answered on 9/4/2012 by Anonymous A: Yes, this paint can be covered with the Gasket Lacquer but I would recommend to use this cap paint on the out side of the Gasket Lacquer because when you go to seal over it it may smear the paint off. Also being water based the shaft would soak up a lot of paint before it would look good. Answered on 9/4/2012 by Art from 3Rivers Archery

Answer this question 1 answer A: To many arrow finishes out there to say if it is going to be compatible with another product or not. I can say that it is an Acrylic that cleans and thins with water and would expect just about every glue and finish to work with it. Answered on 1/9/2012 by Shawn from 3Rivers Archery
