Q: I'm getting back into archery (traditional) after 25 years away so I've forgotten some aspects. I'm a right handed shooter shooting 45lb recurve. Is there an advantage for RH versus LH helical fletch for me? Asked on 5/23/2012 by Lee from Cadiz, KY Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: There is know difference in shooting ether or it is what ever you prefer. Answered on 5/23/2012 by Clint from 3Rivers Archery
Q: I have had a right/wing helical JO Jan multi-fletching jig for many years. I am a right-handed archer and feel that left/wing feathers would suit me better when I release. If I do not have a high nocking point (1/2") I tend to have feather burn. A left/wing helical will tend to turn the feather fletch away from my bow hand and so eliminate feather burn for a right handed archer...or so I have heard. Will a set of left/wing helical clamps fit into the main body of my Jo Jan jig, with adjustments, or will i have to buy the whole kit again as a left/wing multi-jig? Asked on 10/26/2011 by Johno from Brittany, FRANCE Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: No, all you need to do is buy the clamps and then reset up your Jo Jan for the new helical. Q: The title for this product is Extra "clamps" (plural) but there is no indication under the product information how many are sold for 15.99? Is this a misprint in the title or do you get six clamps? Asked on 8/11/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This price is for 1 clamp. The reason that the title says "Clamps" is because you have options of left, right or straight. Answered on 8/12/2011 by Art from 3Rivers Archery

Q: To instal a helical feather, do I off set the jig for the clamp, or do I leave it straight and the clamp has enough helical in the way it is built? Asked on 11/13/2010 by capt-kidd from Central Texas Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: A straight clamp will do a left or right off set. A helical clamp will do a left or right helical fletch, just make sure you match the feather to the clamp. A helical clamp will have the helical built into to, but you will need to set the jig up so that your feather lays on the shaft perfect. This takes a little time and patience to get set up correctly so plan on using 2-3 arrows as practice and to get your setting dialed in. Answered on 11/15/2010 by Shawn from 3Rivers Archery
Q: how do i determine if the jo jan clamp i have already is for right or left wing? Asked on 8/19/2010 by peanut from hartford, kentucky Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: When you are looking down at the clamp from above, it is best to have the clamp in the jig, the clamp will bend to the side that it is. So if the metal is curved to the right it is right wing and left wing curves left. Answered on 8/20/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
