  • Q:

I'm a righty hand shooter, so I would get it for my left arm, correct?

Yep. If you are right handed you hold the bow and need the protection on your left hand.  Just make sure some places list it as R or L hand Glove and some for R or L hand shooter.

  • Q:

I am a man and think the men's size is good for me. However, the following table is more specific than the four size options. So which one do I choose?

    My measurements are:
    Circumference at the wrist: ~7,5"
Length from thumb to elbow: ~9,5"
    Circumference at the elbow: ~13"

Small Min: 6.28" at the wrist; 7.85" on the arm
Small Max: 7.85" at the wrist; 9.42" on the arm
Med Min: 7.85" at the wrist; 8.635" on the arm
Med Max: 9.42" at the wrist; 10.205" on the arm
Lg Min: 8.635" at the wrist; 9.42" on the arm.

I ordered the ladies small, but I found the length from the wrist to the
elbow was the more important measurement, you can tighten up around your
wrist but you really cant do anything to adjust the length. Their length
measurement was spot on by the way and I really like mine. Hope this is of
      some help, good luck

  • Q:

In a previous answer about circumference of this bracer, I found the following table:

Small Min: 6.28" at the wrist; 7.85" on the arm
Small Max: 7.85" at the wrist; 9.42" on the arm
Med Min: 7.85" at the wrist; 8.635" on the arm
Med Max: 9.42" at the wrist; 10.205" on the arm
Lg Min: 8.635" at the wrist; 9.42" on the arm.
Lg Max: 9.42" at the wrist; 13.345" on the arm

I am a female right handed shooter looking to wear this bracer on my left arm. I measure 6.8" at my wrist, which would fall in the ladies small category, 10.5" at my forearm, which is in the men's large category. My instinct is to order a medium and hope for the best, but I am concerned about whether the lacing style will be able to accommodate the big difference between my wrist and forearm. Can anyone with a similar arm shape share their experiences, or a staff member look in to how they lace? Thank you.

I own both the Small and the Medium. The lacing up the outside of the arm
will allow you to adjust for
differences in the circumference of the arm, both at the wrist and up the
      forearm. You can't adjust the
span of leather that falls across the back of the hand, between thumb and
      forefinger, and then down
      across the palm.
What I find with the Small is that it fits nicely at the wrist and over the
hand, but falls about 1.5-2 inches
short of the inside of my elbow. This can be a problem for a female archer
      because many woman have
a curve at the inner elbow that will get zapped by the string until the
archer learns to rotate her elbow.
In contrast, the Medium covers all the way to my elbow, but the
disadvantage is that the piece of leather
that goes over the thumb, between thumb and forefinger, is too big. This
piece of leather cannot be adjusted.
Either way, I love both of these. I tend to wear the smaller one more often
      because I haven't gotten hit
by the string since I learned the elbow rotation trick.
      Hope this helps!

      MA'AM-
I PURCHASED A MENS' LARGE BRACER FOR MY LEFT ARM. I AM ALMOST EXACTLY 2" LARGER AT WRIST AND FOREARM THAN YOU. ONLY JUST BELOW AND AT THE ELBOW CROOK MINE FITS WELL. THERE IS STILL A BIT- .5" TO 3/4"- OF EXPOSED SKIN WHERE THE UNDER-FLAP DOES NOT COVER, UNLESS I LACE IT TIGHT ENOUGH TO STOP CIRCULATION IN MY FOREARM AND HAND.
STILL, THERE ARE THREE THINGS TO REMEMBER: 1.: FIT AT THE WRIST AND HAND TAKES PRIORITY. 2.: THE LACING IS ON THE BACK OF THE ARM, AND DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH FUNCTIONALITY. 3.: THE BRACER WILL STRETCH WITH USE. HOW MUCH? I CANNOT SAY.
THAT BEING SAID, I TRULY LIKE MY ROBIN HOOD BRACER.
I HOPE THIS WAS OF ASSISTANCE. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE, ENJOY!

There is plenty of room in the forearm and the lace is like a shoe with a tongue so its adjustable. I would definitely focus on the wrist size and your arm length.

      Shopper,
I own this particular bracer in medium.
My forearm measure 11.6" and my wrist is 7.5".
The bracer fits me almost perfectly and the lacing system is by far the
best that I have seen as far as bracers go for archery. You can tighten
specific areas to fit for your comfort and it fastens securely and does not
slip. The leather is made of the highest quality and I believe that as long
as it is kept oiled in dryer environments or in 50% or greater humidity it
should last a life time. The laces could easily be replaces if the wear
out but I do not see that happening any time soon for me. It provides more
than adequate protection and is also comfortable. I would buy another one
if I needed it for certain and would recommend it over any other forearm
      archery personal protection equipment.

The forearm is the last measurement you will want measure. The first most important measurement is at the wrist. you will want the best fit as possible in the hand area. I would recommend to purchase both the small and the medium to see which one better fits you and then send the one back that does not.

      Hi
When I measured for this bracer my measurements were 9 inches from wrist to
elbow with a 10 inch circumference near elbow. I ordered the Robin Hood LH
Bracer in small and it fit like a glove and I must say I love it. Hope this
is of some help. Good Luck

As an owner of one of these, I can tell you that the lacing mechanism is pretty flexible. You can just tighten or loosen the binding in various places for comfort. Mine fits perfectly and is comfortable for extended periods of time. I'd surely recommend one.

  • Q:

I have about a 7" wrist and a 10 1/4" forearm around and a 11" long forearm. Would a mens long fit me or would it be to big? I also have a double jointed elbow that when my arm gets tired it gets brutalized. Aside from "keeping my arm bent" is there anything that might help when it does not stay bent?

I would recommend the medium. It is easy to loosen or tighten these bracers. You should be able to use either size. The length is going to be the biggest part.

If you are constantly hitting your arm, you may want to move your back foot out a little to open your stance. You would be able to leave everything else in your form the same. That should help you to miss your arm more often.

It looks like you will need to get the Men's Long. These bracers are laced so they can get significantly larger or smaller depending on your needs.

  • Q:

Does the inner arm have reinforced leather or some type of harder support along the inside wrist? Do the child/ladies sizes also have smaller thumb wraps to match smaller thumbs? Can you provide more pictures? Do you offer any custom leatherwork (perhaps stamping a name into the leather)? Thanks for any help!

The inner portion of the bracer is reinforced with 2 layers of nice thick leather. If you snap the string straight into your wrist, you wouldn't feel a thing.
I'm not sure about the ladies/child thumbs.
I don't believe custom leatherwork is offered, but they do sell an embroidered version of this glove which looks pretty sweet if you're into that.

The bracer wraps around the entire forearm and has a piece that goes up the back of the hand and around to the palm, covering the area between the thumb and forefinger. That area has an extra layer of leather to allow you to shoot comfortably off of the knuckle.

      A:

The bow glove is built into the Robin Hood Bracer. It fully circles the thumb just like our stand alone bow glove (item #4002X). The bow glove part of the bracer holds in place great and gives perfect protection for off the knuckle shooting.
