      No, the Gut Hafting material is not strong enough to handle the stress that a bow string is put under.

    Looking for a product to shrink-wrap on a tanged tool head. If I soaked the gut hafting, would it become stretchy, then shrink and harden once dried?

      This will shrink a little but not that much. This will work for hafting your tool head but I would also use hide glue to help bond the two together.

      This is animal intestines that have been dried. The Gut Hafting is used to sew with or you can use it to put your stone points on your arrows.

      There is approximately 20 feet on a roll. This gut is close to .10 in diameter.
