Q: I am making a ash self flat bow but it's finished length is 75 inches from tip to tip. It's only 72.5 in between where the string would be anchored but I'm still not sure if you sell a string long enough. I would like a brace height between 7 and 9 inches, what length should I get, or if I should get a Flemish or Dacron string. Asked on 5/23/2012 by Very ameture bowyer Know the answer? Q: I am making a 72 inch board bow,but I don't have anything to use as a tillering string. Can I adjust the timber hitch so that it is slack on the tillering tree?
