  • Q:

Since the bow doesnt have a shelf, how much will that affect the shot and accuracy of the bow?

      A:

It will not. You will just need to make sure the spine of the arrow matches the bow and the shooter.

I mostly use it for demos so I am still on the original string. Because of the high poundage and the un-reinforced nocks I would stick with B50

What would happen if you don't take the strings off after use?

      A:

Due to the tension on the wood for a prolonged period, the wood will lose
its cast (ability to shoot an arrow) and may also lose draw weight. This
results in greatly reduced performance and possible stress cracks in the
      bow.

      Hi
If you do not unstring your bow it will lose power and its profile when shot

It will hold the curve and loose poundage

Answered on 9/17/2013 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery

      A:

The bow will develop a "set" or permanent curve in the direction its bent. It will mean a loss of draw weight, arrow speed and probably more hand shock when shooting. This is a laminate bow also, which means it has the possibility of delaminating and splitting if left strung too long.

      A:

When an all wood bow is strung the wood fibers are working and are breaking down. If a all wood bow is left strung for long periods it will lose poundage and cast also shorten the life of the bow.

  • Q:

If I were to order arrows for this bow at 100# what would the specifications need to be for carbon arrows? Grain, Spine, etc.
Asked on 8/11/2013 by miniucnchew from Little Rock, AR

    • A:

Carbon Express Heritage 350 full length (32.75") with 8 gr/inch weight tubes, 100 gr insert, 250 gr point, 4 fletch, 5 1/2" shield cut. Total weight 1050 gr. It is important to keep the arrow at least 10 gr/lb of draw weight.

      A:

For a carbon arrow I would recommend the spine of 300 with a 125 grain field point.

  • Q:

Would it be possible or safe to use 75-95 carbon arrows with the 100-110# draw weight?

      A:

As long as the arrows are not full length they should work. The longer the arrow is the weaker it is. If you could give us a call in here at 866-587-9501 we can help you further in selecting the proper arrow for this bow.

      A:

1/2" poplar shaft tapered to 3/8" at the nock with 6" fletching would be considered an average shaft for a warbow of this weight.

      Answered on 5/17/2013 by Anonymous
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

I use Carbon Express Heritage because the shaft is heavy in grains per
      inch.

      A:

It is not recommended that this bow be drawn past 28". You will want to use the stiffest shafts you can find.

Hi it is not so much the wood of the arrows. in medieval times a number of woods were used. However for this type of bow the archer's paradox will be pronounced. Therefore the correct spine is all important.Regards Martin

The only color that we offer is the lighter color. The bow with the darker core is the standard ELB not the Heavy Weight.
