Q: Is the instruction in this book applicable to building a historically accurate yew selfbow, including horn nocks and strike plate? Or is the instruction focused more on laminated bows? Asked on 3/5/2013 by Joey from Fort Worth, Texas Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: This book does not really deal with laminations. It is more focused on techniques that will work for a selfbow or flatbow. Answered on 3/5/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: The handbook does not spend much time dealing with laminating. It is aimed on self bows and does give adequate instruction on shaping and sizing traditional long bows and American flat bows. The book seems to be written to use in conjunction with any of the long bow kits 3rRivers sells. I is a pretty good start for a beginner.
