Q: I received this bow and it did not come with instructions as mentioned in earlier questions. I was concerned about caring for the bow since several comments have mentioned oiling to help preserve the bow. I called the company and they mailed me a one page sheet that mentions not dry shooting the bow numerous times, and mentions oiling the bow once, and does not mention any product to use. What product is best for oiling the bow? Asked on 3/23/2013 by TPreston from IL Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: You can use true oil that will work just fine. Answered on 3/26/2013 by Clint from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Hi! Hard to tell from the pictures, butis the bow a D-shape English bow? Would it be suitable for British longbow competitions? Asked on 9/15/2012 by Dave Ray from Oxford, MS Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes, I would consider this to be a traditional D shaped longbow. Answered on 9/17/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Silly question, I was wondering if this bow would be suitable for simple target shooting and possibly small game? Asked on 6/21/2012 by Spencer from Ontario, Canada Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: This bow would work perfectly well for that. The weight of the bow is going to be the biggest factor in determining what you will want to do with it. At 45# it will make a good target bow, and have enough power for small game. Answered on 6/21/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: would it be safe to leave this bow strung for several hours? Asked on 2/22/2012 by alec from colorado Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes, it would be safe to have it strung for several hours, but the longer it is left strung the more likely it will have a "string set." This means it doesn't unstring to be straight again and it takes the shape (not entirely, but slightly) of being in the strung position. Answered on 2/27/2012 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Are these bows made from boards, or from wild timber? Asked on 2/15/2012 by John Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: These bows are made from boards of red oak. Answered on 2/16/2012 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery

Answer this question 1 answer A: The Medieval Huntsman longbow is only available in the one bow weight of 45-50#. I am afraid we can not offer special orders on this bow at this time. Q: This bow is for either hand, correct? My dominant eye for hunting is my left, so I need a right hand bow. Asked on 11/14/2011 by Joshua C from BFT, SC Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes, these bows are ambidextrous. If you are left eye dominant, you will want to shoot left handed. A left handed bow is held in the right hand and the string is drawn with the left hand. Answered on 11/15/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: i have seen stuff about oiling and coating the bow to keep moisture out. do i have to do this? if so what should i use and how would i do it. Asked on 10/30/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: These bows come with a care sheet and instructions. The manufacturer recommends that the bow is oiled periodically to help keep the wood from drying out completely. The care sheet has a list of oils that can be used. The oil will just need to be applied to the entire bow in a thin layer. Answered on 11/3/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
