My right hand measures 9" around the knuckles where the fingers start (metacarpal phalangeal joint) and 8.5" from the wrist joint (radiocarpal joint) to the end of the middle finger. I bought the XL elk shooting glove a few months ago, and it fits very well. One of the complaints I read from another customer is that the finger tips may stretch some with wear. I do find myself pushing my fingers down into the tips after every few shots (shooting a '57 Fred Bear 68"/5
      0# @ 30" Kodiak Special and a '55 Kodiak which is 64" & pulls 59# @ 30").

  • Q:

I used the size chart and from my wrist to the tip of my middle finger I measured 8". So according to the chart I need a XL. But from reading reviews people said over time the glove the streched. If I get an XL will the glove be to big once it streches? Should I go for a large instead? Thanks.

I would go with XL. This glove is a snug fit, the wrist band is designed to make the glove stay on your fingers. It is caused by the wrist strap fitting right at the wrist and hand line. I love these gloves and I am sure you will like it. Best glove I ever had.

I would get the Large. The finger stalls do not change too much and you can stretch the length of the glove to get a better fit than getting the extra large.

That is exactly what I did. The large did stretch. This particular glove is one of the best I have ever shot with. Highly recommended and 3 Rivers is exceptional. It has become my only bow accessory store.

Measure the length in inches from your wrist to tip of middle finger

      Small is 7 1/8 inches - Medium is 7 1/2 inches - Large is 7 3/4 inches and X-Large is 8 inches plus.

For this particular product, the Big shot elk glove, there's a description of how to measure your hand. Use a ruler, and measure from the tip of your middle finger to the last crease in your wrist closest to your palm. Compare that number to the chart in the product description and you'll know your size; if you're between numbers or just over, go to the bigger size. It'll be a tight fit with this glove, but that's how it's meant to be with this product.
