		Our Novaculite is heat treated so the stone will flake easier. It's an extra process, but well worth it when it comes to making flint arrowheads. Our Novaculite spalls are on the small side more for arrow points than knives. (Although you could make a knife from some of the larger pieces.) They can vary from a couple inches to over four inches. They're pre-bagged and sold by the pound, so expect a good mix of the various sizes. The color also varies batch to batch from a milky white, to grey, to the occassional streaked piece. For the aspiring flintknapper, Novaculite is tough and will allow you a little more freedom to make mistakes than obsidian will.
