I bought my son a 1st Shot Bear bow, which is an okay starter bow. The arrows that came with it are not at all matched to the bow and fly all over the place, if they fly at all. I bought a set of these wooden arrows and they fly much better and my son is having a blast. If you buy a cheap bow, at least put a few bucks into a good arrow or you might just end up with a discouraged youngster.

I ordered a half dozen youth arrows recently and was very disappointed in the quality- I won't go on about that b/c I posted my comments earlier. 3 Rivers contacted ME and set it right with a new set. The new ones are as good or better as ones received in the past. True, accurate and well-crafted product for the money and great for the kids.

I wanted to find a consistent set of arrows for teaching my son's Boy Scout troop the archery merit badge. Cheap arrows normally shoot that way. Not these. They are much more consistent than any other set I could find - under $20. The boys are shooting more consistently than they ever would without a quality set of matched arrows. Qualifying will truly be a test of their shooting skills. The arrows also take the beating that 20, middle school aged boys will put them through.

The arrows that I bought for our youth camp came delivered as promised but the way they were packaged ruined the feathers on just about all the arrows. They will not fly straight as a result of you packaging. I would like to get another batch of arrows to replace the ones I recieved.

I bought 6 24-inch and 6 26-inch arrows to supply for my church's vacation bible school. I made some PVC bows based upon instructions from Traditional Bowhunter magazine that draw about 15-20 lbs at 20-24 inches. The arrows are exceptionally well-crafted for youth arrows -- straight, very nice fletching, great finish -- and shoot very well out of the PVC pipe bows. The kids all love these arrows.

The only downside is that target choice is important. The 24" arrows are so light-weight that they bounce off most targets except for plain styrofoam. This is only an issue for the smallest shooters. In contrast, even at 15lbs draw weight, the 26" arrows will stick in a 3D target up to about 10-12 yards distance.

My teenaged daughter truly enjoys target shooting. The type of arrow she uses is very important to her development of proper aiming and judgment habits. I must admit that when I ordered these arrows for her, I did not have very high expectations, but after receiving them and having her try them, their performance exceeded my expectations ... especially for the price. They are straight. They shoot consistently. I was pleasantly surprised. You can't go wrong with these for your children. I will indeed buy more.

Great not having to spin up arrows for my toddlers. For the price they can shoot these in the bushes all day and I wont have a heart attack. They are quite long for kids, since they are 24"-26" long for a bow with a max 20" draw...but I have a saw. For the price, I won't worry when they lose a couple.

I purchased a dozen arrows for my grandson. He is 11 and he shot these arrows from his 24# longbow very well. The only drawback was that the clear finished arrows are hard to find in the grass or brush. The penetration was consistant to the poundage of bow. Good arrow and price.

The forward ends of fletch aren't blended with shaft causing nicks to shooters hand. These red shafts aren't the quality of the white batch bought recently. I really wanted white. Didn't know there were other colors available. White doesn't get lost as easily. Knocks are too wide, don't hold on to string. What happened?

I've been buying these arrows for my son for about a year now. He really benefits by having feather fletches on solid, straight, painted shafts. These arrows fly very well out of his 35# bow. Unfortunately, kids are hard on arrows and he breaks them quite often. This is more than compensated for by the excellent price! Don't sell your kid short by making him use the "toy" arrows with plastic vanes.

These arrows are actually too short for me to shoot, but I watch my friends shoot them with my bow. I originally purchased these arrows because I wanted my shorted friends to be able to shoot with me, and not use my expensive carbons. Almost every shot we take, the arrow shaft takes some light damage, some of the laquer is chiped or rubbed off, and the tip was completely revealed on one of them. However, if you are likely to lose the arrows alot, I recommend these because then you can get cheap replacements, otherwise, due to the damage these take, Carbons are so much better, because even my sharp field points will not damage the shafting.

Almost all of the 5/16 shafts needed major straightening out of the box. Good tough youth arrow for stump shooting.

I used these wooden arrows together with the carbon arrows that we already had, which have rubber fletching, and these youth arrows outperformed those by at least 50% in speed, flight and accuracy. The only con are the crimped on target points which can damage the shaft if you accidentally hit a tree. Otherwise a very good buy for the price, highly recommended!

I purchased these arrows for my boys, ages 6 & 4. They love them, as do I! I have noticed that the arrows crack where the tip is attached to the shaft. No big deal, as they are just learning. I have had to use wood glue to prevent additional cracking. Other than that they fly straight, have not bent, and are a lot of educational fun for my boys.

The arrows are fine except for the nocks. My kid's bows have relatively thin strings and these arrows have large nocks. No big deal to change them, but it seems this would have been thought of.

For the price, these arrows can't be beat - you can't MAKE arrows this inexpensive. Not the very best available, but excellent for beginners or for those with light bows. Recommended for new SCA archers who need a reasonably period arrow.

They are pretty good. I don't like the idea of painting them because the paint falls off but that doesn't really matter They aren't that durable. I bought my bow from a different site and it came with these arrows. I lost two because they dug into the grass and one broke when it hit the fence but this new pack hasn't had a problem.

These arrows are fine for a 14 year-old recreational archer, but of the 12 we ordered, 6 of them lost their nocking after only 2-3 flights. It looks like someone forgot to glue them in. Easily fixed but disappointing to have happen on a weekend trip.

My son is just beginning archery and uses these instead of the arrows that came with his bow. They are far better than the plastic fletched arrows and fly true. I just wish the tips were a little less dull so they'd stick to the foam target better. I'm also worried that we might lose tips easily soon since they're just crimped instead of hot glued on.

I bought 2 dozen for my kids to use. They arrived straight and with fletching done well. Really nice work. The crimp on tips have been surprisingly tough. They have been shot from a 25lb bow into 4x4's at close range and only pushed the tips on a bit.

Part of my switching to trad was as a family endevoure into archery for the kids to avoid the so many gimicks of modern archery. These arrows are dang-near abuse proof. The only thing I may change is re-fletch with plastic instead of the feathers for a little better durability. But my kids are having a blast learning this new joy.

This set of six arrows only lasted my 14 year old son a week. He is aiming at a paper target attached to a haystack. We gave up on wooden arrows and I've bought him carbon ones. The problem is that tips for these are much to sharp for a kid and we need to file them down. I wish there was a durable, safe set available.

These arrows are a great value for the money. As new archers, my son and I needed to have affordable arrows and these fit the bill. I'll pay more for custom arrows later, but these are great for target shooting.

We did break 2 arrows the first time we shot them but the others are holding up fine. Not sure if those 2 were weaker somehow or it was just bad luck... but still very happy with them.

We needed arrows for our new longbow that would be accurate and durable for use at the NC Renaissance Faire. The arrows worked out well and could be used with most of our bows. We selected this particular arrow because we wanted the target tip. We'd love to have longer arrows of smilar price range for the adults with a longer pull distance. Unfortunately, target tips are only available on this diameter and length arrow.

For bows under 20# and arrow length under 24" remove 2" feathers and replace with 4" or 5" feathers to straighten out arrow flight.

This is a pretty good lot of arrows for the price, but you get what you pay for. I reccomend them for beginners. However, they wear easily, you must be careful with them. They fly straight, and have beautiful fletching. Easy to shoot. These arrows don't work with hunting. You need a sharper tip. For starters, these are great.

These are the only arrows I use, period! I always ask for them for Christmas, and sometimes buy them on my own. I use them all the time for target practice. They are perfectly crafted and go far and fast. Sometimes they go through 2 haybales! They can get lost easily, and if you are near trees can snap. Also, if they get stuck into wood, when you pull them out sometimes the points break off. Other than that, these are perfect.

These arrow get your child started off on the right foot. The arrows are afforadable, fly well, and look like real arrows (with creasting and real feathers) We changed the tips to heavier, sharper field points for better penetration when stump shooting.

These arrows are a great deal and work well in my 10yr old sisters bow after a little prepping. The points that come on these arrows are little 20 grain points. Which have worked fine for my sister on her first bow, which was 10pnds. She recently moved up to a 25pnd bow and has become much more consistent. A friend recommended that I cut off the 20grain points and replace them with 100grain glue-ons. This set-up works extremley well with her new bow and is a great and inexpensive way to give her some good shooting arrows.

I got the arrows for the kids, and they work well. I went with the longer 28 inch shafts to allow for their varying draw lengths. The only drawback is the crimped on tips, which seem to break the shaft at the base. I replace them with 5/16 field points and it solves the breakage problem and gives them a point that sticks better in the target.

I do a reasonable amount of shooting with a lower draw weight stick bow. You can beat the price for a pile of arrows. I get to shoot a lot and don't go broke keeping the quiver full.
