Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I live in an area with a lot of forest grouse and rocks; lots of rocks. These rubber blunts bounce off rocks and the arrow survives- and that is real handy. I don't lose many - but I do share them with other hunters; and not one has given them back :)
They will kill a rabbit or grouse; and I shoot a 70 pound longbow; and shoot them all the time for practice. I have saved a lot of arrows by using them.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I bought the 1/4" size thinking they might fit a 9/32" carbon shaft. They are too small to fit even a 1/4" childs arrow. If you manage to get them on somehow, you will never get them off without a knife. The 5/16" size may fit a 9/32" shaft, but I didn't want to spend the money to find out.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I put this on cedar arrows with field tips, after half a dozen shots the tips broke through. Same thing happened when I put them on a tapered shaft. I broke 3 arrows. I think I was pretty hard on them, hitting a hard backstop, but the ad said "hundreds of shots" on stumps w/o breaking. Was it my fault or is the ad copy overly optimistic?
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Dont know how these would work on bunnies, as I have always used broadheads. What I can say is, they are the greatest for stump shooting. No other head I have used protects you arrow from being damaged on a hard stump then these.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
we used to just call these "rubber blunts" ... but the Tred Barta name didn't seem to add any $$ or cost any quality, so it's all good :-)
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I bought a few of these to try them out and liked them enough to buy a dozen. Field points will damage them so I use them in place of points. I have yet to lose one while roving. They tend to bounce rather than dig in.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Of all of the common shapes for roving. This one far out shines all the others. The weight best matches your broaheads, and it out lasts all others in durability.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Just because they are Bartas - doesn't not mean they always miss !! :)
These are great heads; I have taken many grouse;ground squirrels- and rabbits with them!
If you do miss- they bounce off rocks!
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
These Bunny Busters are easy to install and fly just like a field point. Great for stump shooting, they don't dig into straw or grass.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
The Bunny Buster has been used exclusively for wingwhooting by Blue Ridge October, manufacturer of the HitcHiker target launcher for the last five years in seven state competitions and Byron Fergusons Advanced Archer Class for the last two years. The Bunny Buster has performed well against all types of targets including cardboard, plastic and real flying birds. We will continue to use this fine product for all our wingshooting venues. Thank you for making it available to us.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
This may be a bit unconventional, but I use these Bunny Busters for shooting at a target block. Yes, I occasionally miss the target block completely, and these save me the problem of finding arrows that have skipped through, or under, the grass for some distance. Good for its stated purpose, too.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
These game heads are great, the weight makes it easy to match to arrows with other points. The only problem I've seen is they won't stay centered on a point tapered shaft making it inconvenient when switching from field points.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
After practicing with these heads against soft targets, trees, walls and rocks, these heads have not failed yet. It's not small game season now so I can't try them on rabbits yet, but if I connect on one, I am certain it will deliver a crushing blow. I'd give it a 5, but I have broken a few arrows when hitting a hard surface such as a tree. I recommend practicing on an old target, a bag full of old cloths or something softer to save your wooden arrows.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Easy to install over field tips or shafts. Fun to shoot, and easy to find.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Good Heads. I use them for stumping shooting practice. Durable and hard to lose!
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I purchased the pack of 3 for about the cost of a cup of coffee and I have to say that I am very impressed with these blunts! They are ridiculously easy to assemble (just push them on) and they stay on without the use of any glue until manually removed. As a bonus they even made my wooden arrows with broken and frayed tips immediately useful again without needing to do any kind of tapering. I read some of the other reviews and cannot fathom why anyone had trouble getting these things on their arrows. Accuracy-wise I am hitting coke bottles at twenty yards with the same frequency as I do with my field points, so I am comfortable that any misses are of my own doing and not as a result of the bunny busters. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is due to the fact that I haven't had a chance to hunt with them yet as opposed to any kind of "con" in regard to the blunt. I will submit another review after I have had a chance to bust a few bunnies.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Finally, relief from boring black! Works well over field points!
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I used these to teach my Wife how to shoot against the basement wall. She now roams our back 40 looking to bring home the twigs I mean the bacon.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I don't use these too often, but they are fun for stump shooting. Have proven to be quite durable and they don't get lost under the grass. Have not shot a bunny with them (and never will) so I can't comment on their usefulness there!
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
These make "plinking" a blast. Never lost an arrow yet.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I use the bunny buster in conjuction with the steel blunts which is nice because you can vary the weight of the head according to your needs. I live in a treeless, rocky land so my "stump" shooting is really clump-of-grass shooting. Problem is, about half the time, those clumps of grass are backed by a rock, which can have devastating effects on a judo point. The bunny buster over a steel blunt just bounces off the rock without damaging the arrow. After a lot of hits, I did manage to punch a hole through the bunny buster but I'd rather that than a destroyed arrow. The only drawback is that is it a real task to remove it from the arrow, which makes quick changes in the field problematic. For the price and simplicity and durability, this is an excellent product.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I bought these for a couple of reasons. #1. To use for hunting red squirrels with a longbow, it is a riot, but haven't got one yet, try it with friends, you will feel like a kid again. #2 To teach my 5 & 6 year old grandkids how to shoot. It is safer than field points and makes a whop sound when it hits the target, they love it. #3 if you ever break an arrow these make it reusable if there is enough length left.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
These blunts are fantastic for stump shooting: they have saved me dozens of broken arrows. However, this morning in my deer stand I took a shot at a squirrel with a 50 lb longbow and hit him squarely in the chest without killing him. The squirrel was clearly injured, but was able to hobble away to a hole in the tree for safety, and then a half hour later appeared to have made a full recovery. I'm switching to something made of harder rubber or metal.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I use these points to sight in and practice with my hunting crossbow. Using a heavy canvas tarp as a backstop which is suspended only by it's top edge and allowed to hang freely the impact of the arrow is absorbed and the arrow falls to the ground with no damage to either the tarp or the arrow. Paper targets may be taped to the tarp to record the strike of the arrows and allow adjustments to br made to your sights. The steel blunts did not work well for this application causing damage to and often penetrating the tarp.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I was not real impressed with these. They fit the arrows great and seem to hang on well. However, they're too flexible (and maybe they're suppose to be) and I had to straighten them back out after hitting hard things, like the ground, etc. I shot them quite a bit trying to find a way to like them but I'm not please with how they function. The idea is good but I'm going to order the screw-in types instead. I'm sure these work great for others, but not for me.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Wingshooting with the Tred Barta Bunny Buster has never been better. I use the Bunny Buster on all points on the unique flu-flu arrow which I make for competitive wingshooting. The point holds up well whether we are shooting targets, birds, rabbits. Tred Barta would love to try his points on 15", 12" 9" and 6" inch targets thrown like real birds from the HitcHiker target launcher. These points never fail.

They're fine.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I shoot anything ... rocks stumps anything I use these on my CE Aramid KV also on my 3/8 wood arrows etc... these save your arrows and puts no limit on what you can shoot at also stops good in the grass as good as Judo BUT will not brake your arrows like a Judo against a rock will.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
These are great. I shoot these with my 50, 60 and 80lb bow at my wood targets. They held up well for the first few shots with a tapered shaft. Then the wood just punched through and the tip started moving down the shaft (not by much). The point itself still held together very well irregardless of what the shaft did. I would still buy these again but, won't taper the shaft with the next batch.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Tred Barta Bunny Busters are great for pratice shooting. Although in Europe it's not allowed to hunt on animals, I can imagine that the Bunny Busters are great for hunting small game. They are nearly indestructible indeed. I use them for pratice. The design allows you to slip them on your arrow with a field point, but here you have a minor con, because the arrow tends to become heavier. On the other side you can use them without a field point and then they are great for stump shooting.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Good product, but weak life.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Same weight as my field points. They fit over my carbon arrow was really good.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I got these thinking they were the same as the HTM rubber blunts that I've used for years. These Barta Bunny Busters were almost impossible to get to fit onto the shaft all the way. They just seemed too soft. I tired putting them on the same way that I put on HTM and that didn't work so I tried wetting the surfaces of the shaft and the wall of the head and that didn't work. As a last resort I tried shooting the arrow with the 3/4 installed head and all that did was rip the side of the head out. I'll never buy these again.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I hunt wild doves with this point I never lost any arrow so far with this point what amazed me that this rubber point can slice the meat and bones on small game especialy doves, most doves I shot with this point dropped on the spot. I think this blunt is suitable for small game like doves, rats, squirels.... I never try this on bunny I hope it works with my 40+lbs bow.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
my point came through after a few shots. no dought it packs a wallop. flies good. but didnt hold up... I shoot about #65 martan recurve.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
First I couldn't get it on. Then I read that someone put a point under it to get it on. The point broke through after 2 shots. (stump shooting). A blunt underneath fared no better
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
They get heavy when put on over a field point. I have found they are hard to take off points. Most of the time it takes the field points off the arrows as well.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I bought the red one, easy to see flying!
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I use this product for practice and hunt.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
I purchased the bunny busters for stump shooting and squirrel hunting. I wouldn't recommend these for stump shooting because after a few solid shots the end of the shaft, tapered or untapered, will push through the rubber.

Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
Indestructible. No damage on arrows when they hit rocks or hard ground.
Comments about "Bunny Buster" Small Game Heads:
They are the most durable blunts out there. It is very hard to slip them on and off an aluminum shaft without a tip. So now I slip them over a field tip and they work like a charm.
