The only beef I had with the serving material is that it frayed when I cut it. I would suggest burning it off. Very little to worry about. It still went on nice and worked well for me.

I used this on my first homemade bowstring, (Dacron B-50), on my frist wooden bow build. Easy to use, lays well on the string. Perfect for my novice level bow building and string making. Made strings for a friend as well, and he seems pleased with the end product as well.

As a beginner I was able to make a flemish string and apply the serving quite easily. First time I tried it and it works well. I do not have much to say in regard to the "pros & cons" because I just received the product. I have been shooting the bow every night for about a week and the string & serving seem to be breaking in nicely.
As always I was happy to receive my package, packed "with care" and shipped with care as well. Customer service, although on this order I did not speak to anyone (internet order), has always been informative, polite & courteous.

This is good serving material, it may not look as pretty as the black and white striped serving material, but the price is better, the spool also fits into the tornado serving tool quite nicely.

I put glue under the serving, this keeps it form coming loose and allowing the nocks too wear on the string.
The string will wear out before the serving.

Servings wear out, unless you let your bow set on the rack, Brownell B-50 serving string, never leads me to a bad ending, as far as I am concerned ther is no better.

I recently bought the Camo version of this serving to use on my hunting recurve. I made a Flemish string using Brownell's B-50 string material and I needed some durable serving to finish it up with. I decided that the Brownell's twisted nylon string serving would be a perect fit for the job. I used a Little Spinner String Serving Jig to apply it to the string and found that the serving material and the jig worked in perfect harmony together. I able to create a very tight serving for the string, and in no time I was up and shooting the bow. Not only does it work like a champ but it looks great also! I have positive arrow placement and have had no problems with it unwinding. I am looking forward to the hunting season this year and I am confident in these products purchased from 3Rivers Archery. This material is adequate for limited use. It will abrade easily, however, and it separates easily after repeated firings. It goes on easily, however, and is fine for a beginning archer.

Very solid stuff. Be careful to not have too much tension in your server, as it will break or fray under pressure; this may have to do with sharp edge of your server, more than the material.
Fast delivery, even during the holidays. Packages are really well cushioned with small air pillows.
