This string is much better than the original flemish string that came with the bow. This string is the right length for my bow, and it adds more power behind my shots. It is constructed well, and the arrow nocks fit nicely.

The endless double looped string preformed excellent for me while making minor adjustments on a new bow I had built. This string will be used as a backup when hunting. I perfer a higher grade string when hunting. I hunt very rough cover and don't believe that this string will last a season under those conditions. I know that this string will be there to get me through the season if I have problems with a higher quality string.

The only strings on my longbows and recurve are the double loop B-50's.I am an avid target shooter and cast literally, thousands of arrows a year and have never had a string fail. When I replace a string, it gets a thorough waxing. I then cast about a hundred arrows so that I know it's had a good break in period, set my nock and we're ready for another season.

I've used this string on longbows, recurves and reflex-deflex bows. The serving tends to stretch a bit on the kinds of bows where it impacts with the limbs (Recurves, & reflex-deflex). The string doesn't stand up to fraying very well, either so if a string starts to fray, it goes pretty quickly. On the other hand it is relatively durable and doesn't fray easily. For long bows, it's an excellent product and will last the longest. Despite the serving wear issue, it's lasted longer on my recurve than the string that originally came with it. Overall a decent product.

As novice "archers in training," my wife and I like the double loop endless bow string as the bow string end loops are larger than the bow string end loops on Flemish bow stings. Because of this fact, it is a lot easier for us to string our bows with this type of bow string than with a Flemish bow string. We think these simple bow strings are more user friendly to beginners than the more complex Flemish bow strings. The Flemish bow strings are rather fragile and can be ruined by inexperienced archers if the end loops are untwisted too much in an attempt to enlarge the end loops. I know this from experience as I have already ruined a couple. In addition to these main points, we feel the double loop endless bow strings are durable and strong. The bow string appears well made with rugged, reinforced servings. We think they are an excellent value for the price.

Once installed on the bow and braced, the Dacron will stretch a bit, but not excessively. Then it should be twisted to achieve proper brace height. I've had probably a dozen or more of the strings and have yet had one fail. Liberal use of bow string wax will prolong their usefulness. I highly recommend them as the best value in bow strings on the market today.

ALthough I find these strings to be of excellent quality and value, Beware! I have used a number of these strings (16 strand on #50 recurve) and am very happy with the product with one exception. The center serving that was supplied on my original string is too heavy for the Carbon Express or the Carbon Fury arrows I shoot. This caused the nocks to partialy come out after every shot. I returned the strings to the MFG. and they replaced them with strings served with .018 diameter serving. These strings work perfectly. I hope 3Rivers will include string serving size recommendation on their site in the future.

Product was great loved the serving material. took me a few to figure out the loops were different sizes. I got this string for a 1953 Bear Grizzly 56" AMO and the serving was way to low. I shoot 3 under and at my nock point I have about 1/4 in of serving above it. So if some of my friends want to shoot it they won't be able to. Other than that it shoots great!

The directions for determining length for handmade non AMO bows is not good, I ordered two for one longbow based on existing string length, and neither is long enough. I may try and stretch them with a weight, but the recommendation in ordering them short is not good. It seems like ordering long and then twisting to shorten would be a better idea.

I recently installed the first one on my 45# hunting recurve. It worked well, so I purchased a backup for that bow and another for my 40# target recurve. The only issue is that if you use arrows with snap locks, they seem to snap too tightly on the serving. Not a problem with the 3Rivers Hunting Arrows or the Tred Barta Wilderness Arrows with wider nocks.

I had real issues with this string, the bow is a 60" Kodiak Hunter, so I got a 56" string, when I strung it up, the brace height was under 6 inches!I twisted it up to 7, but it would not stay there, which definitely hindered any kind of accuracy,since the nock point kept getting moved.I bought a 60" AMO string from a competitor,and it braced up at 7.5 inches without twisting it, and it shoots perfect. I have thought about returning the string, but the shipping costs are prohibitive of the effort. Why don't you use the AMO Rating for string length? It would save a lot of confusion for those who don't know the 4 inch rule. Kevin

I sometimes get the inclination to fabricate my own stings. Bottom line, the B-50 dacron string is so durable yet inexpensive I can't justify making my own. I have a custom longbow I shot for a couple of years on the B-50 string that came with the bow. I stopped using the bow for ten years, took the bow out of my closet strung it up and continued to shoot it for a couple of months before replacing the string due to fraying around the tip serving. I can say I got my money's worth.

The stock string that came with my Bear Grizzly (bought locally) was about 1/2 inch too short. I bought a new string locally, but it was still too short, AND it was a bit thin - too few strands, I believe. So, I ordered the correct length from 3Rivers, and it fit perfectly. It allowed me to set the correct brace height, which improved the tuning of the bow substantially. A very well-made, solid string that I believe will last a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. In fact, I think I will so I can have one for a backup. You can't beat the price!

These strings are great. I can't see any reason to use any other string. They are excellent for hunting because they allow for a very quiet shot. The quietest strings I've used and you can't beat the price.

I normally use flemish strings, but this one was for an old browning recurve with small, narrow tips and it works great.

Flat out the best buy on the market as a backup string for anyone that spends way too much time in the woods. I've had to rely on this string many times after spending a rainy few weeks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Gut or rawhide strings just don't hold up after too much moisture. It's a real pleasure to know you can pull this little gem out of you pack and feel confident that you're not gonna get caught with your favorite stick impudent. We all know that's when the one you've been waiting for steps into the clearing.
