I shoot everyday and get thousands of shots out of these strings.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This is my first flemish string and I feel very comfortable using it. It does not seem to stretch much, as I measure the brace height often and have notice very little movement.
Always terrific advice, always prompt delivery. I've returned a few things, but never due to poor quality. Always great stuff.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Got string fast works great. Dealing with 3 Rivers for many years now allways the best.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
when I got it both ends were coming unraveled right when I took it out of the package. I would have returned it but deer season was 4 days away.I tryed so super glue it but I think the wax would not let it stick to it. Don't get me wrong, I think that your products are great and your shipping time is fantastic. This is just the first time I've had any problems. I rapped the ends with electrical tape and seem's to be holding up so far.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
excellent string well made will order another for back up.
As always the service was great!
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I am looking for a string that will last a long time.It is too early to tell. However the string is hitting my wrist so I have to use my arm guard. Other than that I am satisfied.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The sting seems to work well. I have shoot about (50+) arrows with it so far. I have had it in the field the last 2 weeks hunting and it seems to hold up "OK" to the elements.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This string worked great on my longbow. The only problem was that I had to get new nocks because the string diameter was too large for the standard nocks on my carbon arrows.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
it's a good solid bow string, with a little care (waxing) it will last a life time. Received it fast, what I've come to expect from 3 Rivers Archery
Comments about B50 Flemish:
its hard to find a bowstring for a 74" longbow at your local archery store, so i was very happy when the string i ordered from 3 rivers fit perfectly! the brace height was even right on. and the string has a reinforced wrapping where you knock your arrow
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This is a good quality Flemish String.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I've purchased two of these and am happier with the second than I was with the first. So far the second string is performing perfectly whereas the first one had problems with the serving starting to unravel shortly after installing it on my bow.
What do you want - the string ought to last about a year, I suppose and my first one did - after some early repairs I did (with dental floss) to it.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
after 30 minutes the string stretched to the point of being unusable.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Made very well and so quiet I don't need string silencers which makes it just as fast as fast-flight with silencers
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Can't give a 5-star until I actually put it to use. As of right now it is still stretching and not yet shot. I have no doubt it will preform as advertised. Keep up the great work.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Nice flemish strings that are well-crafted.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Keep up the good work
Comments about B50 Flemish:
what can you say, It's a good string
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I got this string on the recommendation of the folks at 3 Rivers and I am very happy with it. Stretch has been minimal and quality is great. I put this on an old Ben Pearson recurve I inherited from an uncle.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
the problem with the string is the it came un wound within a hundred pulls
very fast delivery NICE
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Since purchase I shot my recurve bow about 100 times and this B50 Flemish string seems to continue to stretch. I am putting over 10 additional twists into the string to achieve a 7" brace length on a Bear Grizzly 43 pound bow. I'm concerned that I may never get away from the stretching.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The strings slipped under pressure even though they were twisted.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Just baggy and loose. Stretched to much, over three inches on 50#
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Im a recreational shooter & the bow string works well with my bow.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Other than the one item that I wrote about, this is a very good string
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This product is o.k., however it has a tendency to fray at the ends of the string easily, which makes me a little nervous. Also, the serving string tends to become loose just after about 100 shots. Other than that, it is a very strong string and takes string wax very well.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The string has good fit to the recurve bow and shoots very well. Also looks very nice.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I make and shoot selfbows. These flemish strings are as good as i have used.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I bought this string as a hunting back-up and I have not used it yet. Workmanship looks great.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I shoot an old bear recurve and the bow string works well, wears forever and looks good too. Can't beat the price or the quality! No downsides here.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Thanks.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I use b50 strings they just work for me. I make alot of osage bows and put b50 on every one. 3 Rivers also has great turn around on their orders and good staff to work with.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
You can't go wrong with this string!
Promt response to my question abot this and typical fast 3Rivers delivery.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
My ST Epics with the H nock literally snap onto this string, which is something I don't like while using my primitive bow. I feel that if the arrow nock is snapping on, then it will require enough force to snap off. Thusly, I believe I'm losing some power/speed at time of release. I'm making a new bowstring with .018 serving. I would not recommend H nocks with the standard sized serving on these strings when using a longbow or primitive bow. However this bowstring is a good product otherwise.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Why use a longbow without a flemish string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great product and service.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Dont know much about this new art form. Myself and young son are trying. When I called on the phone to get information I was pleasantly surprised to speak to a gentleman about what I needed. He helped me from beginning to sale. God bless you, man. It makes this art of shooting even better knowing it's so easy and painless to place an order, and order the right stuff.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This string was what I needed. For the price it's not the cheapest, but not the highest. It's good quality material. At my stage in bare bow shooting it is just right.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Very good.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
loops are not finished, and started unraveling right away. Had to serve the top and bottom before they came undone.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good string for the price. Sean was very helpful when talking to him over the phone. More so than the so-called expert at the local GM.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Nice string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
By far some of the greatest strings I have ever used. Superb craftmanship. I highly recommend this product.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
String has held up well in forays through the brush.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Well made. Sized correctly.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
3Rivers was very helpful in getting me the correct length for my self made hickory bow. Once I found the correct length, the string has not stretched much. That is what I wanted
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good stuff.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I buy all my strings from 3Rivers and always use B50 Flemish. First thing they are at a good price, and no string stretch. I don't think you will ever have to replace one unless you cut it or serving gets bad on it. Then re-serve it and keep slinging wood.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
Put 100+ arrows thru this thing and it's still stretching. Bought a 58" for my 62" longbow and brace keeps shrinking to under 7 inches. When will it stop? I hate to overtwist a string. Maybe should have bought a 57". When it's at the correct brace height this string shoots really nice, and quiet. Also had to wax the string ends a lot to keep the cut ends from fraying and lay flat against the string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
A good string for the money so far. Only things that I can't vouch for so far is the durability, and water resistancy (haven't had it for very long and haven't shot in the rain yet). But over all good string for the money, I would defenitly buy more.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I shoot for about 30 minutes every day and get thousands of shots out of a string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I can only say they feel thick but shoot thin. A comfort to use.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good string, but don't forget to get some wax to go with it.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I use the bow string on a inexpensive longbow. It has improved my accuracy and consistancy.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Nice string that compliments my 70's Bear recurve. Had to put my own serving on the ends though.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Most flemish strings stretch about a half inch. The nature of the beast. Is a fine string
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Man! Their staff knows their stuff. I have placed a few orders with them and it is a pleasure to do business with them. I called and described the bow I bought on e-bay- they knew when and where the bow was made and suggested everything I needed. When I got my order I was delighted with the new string. It shoots great and feels natural.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I have nothing but good things to say about the string. It is durable, predictable, and has a nice stretch to it. It doesn't matter if it is 95 degrees and humid, or 20 below zero in the snow, or misty and raining. This string will do what it is supposed to.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
3Rivers strings are as good or better than most custom strings out there, I have had good luck with them and plan on outfitting my bows with them from now on.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I bought this string for a backup. It is a nice string. I broke it in about 200 shots. No problems to speak of.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
It is very durable and stands up to heavy use - I am extremely pleased so far with this product.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great string for the price.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
After putting this string on my bow (62" Pearson Cougar, 50lb) I could not make my bow shoot properly no matter what I tried. It's almost like the individual bundles were not twisted tight enough before they were twisted together. Changing to another string brought my bow back to shooting properly again
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I shoot both longbows and recurve bows, I have used your Flemish strings on both with excellent results. Would be nice to have some two color options.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
These are excellent bowstrings, I have one on my Great Plains Palo Duro and on a Black Bear recurve. Very durable, low stretch (didn't have to "shoot it in") and also very quiet.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
A quality built and strong string that adds to the traditional look of my longbows.
Strings were in stock and delivered fast.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The serving was tied so loose that it was sliding on the string while I was shooting. It was necessary for me to put a new serving on it. I have, however, bought strings in the past from Three Rivers and they have always been of good quality.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
My first experience with Flemish strings. It seems O.K. except for unraveling and stretch.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
These are the best strings I have ever used. They come already served, and putting on nock points is a breeze. They are predicatable and solid feeling, and seem to transfer most of the bows energy to the arrow. There is no 'mush' feel to it, and my arrows generate really good speed with this string. It's what I put on all the bows I build.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I am shooting a Recurve and wanted a good string for accurate shooting with good performance. I found it with the help of 3Rivers Archery Staff. Thanks so much!
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I HAVE TRIED ALL THE NEW FAST FLIGHT TYPE STRINGS AND HAVE FOUND THE B-50 FLEMISH STRING FROM 3RIVERS TO BE THE MOST QUIET AND CONSISTANT SHOOTING OF ALL THE STRINGS. AT AROUND 50 SHOTS THE BRACE HIGHT AND NOCK HAVE STOPPED MOVING.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great string, just wish there were some color options. I'd pay a few more bucks for custom color selections.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I have been a customer of 3 Rivers for years and have found everything I have purchased to be first rate. These strings were a disappointment. They stretched way too much, and even though they were twisted a good amount I was worried about them unraveling at the loops. I'll keep buying from 3 Rivers, but not any more strings.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I started out w/ a fast fight string and did not like how noisy it was, so I tried this string. It is very quiet and I did not notice much loss in arrow speed, if any. I did lower my brace height in order to try and gain any lost speed back. I will stay w/this type of string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
String is functionally perfect. Heavy duty, colors are great. Only thing I didnt like was the ends are frayed looking, purely cosmetic. I knew this before purchase from other reviews. I'm sure if I take some wax I can get ends to behave.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The string end that wraps around itself to make the loop and then back down, came loose. I fixed this easily but wrapping thread around the loose end parts. I then rubbed a candle up and down the threaded area to secure the thread and make it water resistant.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This string really impressed me. I think it improved my accuracy and looks great on the bow as well. No complaints.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Nice color.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
More care should have been devoted to tucking the loop ends in the string winding. they were both stiking out about 3/4 of an inch and it made the string looked ratty. I know it would not effect the strings purpose, but I had to tuck them in before I strung my bow......
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I have been competing for fifty one years and this string proves to be the best. Three Rivers had it for me with great service. Thanks.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good string, I was concerned about it stretching but my concerns were unfounded.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Used on a 60" 50# Ben Pearson recurve. The string last a long time.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good thickness, quiet, fast.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Pretty black/yellow compbo. Comes unwrapped. Beautiful thickness and weight. A bow shop wanted $40 dollars to twist me one from their machine. It was obvious this was the way to go.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I bought my longbow from 3Rivers and the string that came with the bow deteriorated quite fast. This string is a wonderful replacement and I know it will give me great durability and long wear.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great string for long bows. I have never had a probelem with one if you keep them waxed up.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Delivery is always within two duty days and exactly what I order. Very good products.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
Nothing bad about these strings at all. I use them on a Howard Hill long bow and a Martin Mamba. They are strong, Fast, and smooth shooting strings. Once your nock is set shoot 10 to 20 shots reset your brace height and nock and go hunting.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Very good product for the money.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Flemish string good enough however original Fred Bear string will be optimism.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good all around string.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
Recently, I found I needed a bow string for my Groves recurve. It has wide limbs and I explained this in my order. I ordered two strings for it. Always like to have a spare. They fit perfect and my bow has never performed better.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I basically use it for hunting purposes only.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Ordered this string for my Grizzly recurve, came in two days! Found the serving was a little loose and the lenth a bit too long, E-mailed customer service and a replacement was shipped out the next day! New string was perfect! Outstanding support and quallity products at a great price. That's why Three Rivers Archery is #1 in this area! Roger W[...] Churubusco,IN
Speedy delivery, Everything arrived at once, and the folks at customer service just don't get any better!! 10 out of 10 rating!

Comments about B50 Flemish:
I HAVE BOUGHT 3 GREAT STRINGS JUST TAKES A LITTLE TO GET THE STRETCH OUT.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The string has a great feel.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I currently use the flemish string on my 50 lb longbow. I have not had the string long enough to give an accurate assessment, but so far am very pleased with it.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I use the strings on traditional self bows that I make to traditional standards from osage orange staves. I wish the B-50s were available in all brown, or a single color that doesn't look quite as modern on the "old style" bows.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Very functional, and dresses up a bow.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Good color, good fit to my nock.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
As always another great product from 3Rivers
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Very fast shipping.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
They are the 1st string I go to when using my selfbows, longbows, recurves.. They dress up the bow and assist in accuracy.. They are very well made.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
So far, I have had no problem with the Flemish strings.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I receieved my string in the mail and had it on the bow today. I shot for about 45 minutes and constantly had to readjust the brace height on the bow due to the string's stretch. This is my first flemish twist bowstring, so I am not sure if this is common at first or not. After the 45 minutes though, the string got to a point were it would stretch about 1/8 an inch after every six shots or so. Perhaps the string is still being broke in. All in all this is a great string and I am VERY happy with it. I feel it even quieted down my bow as well compared to my old string! I would definitely buy this string again.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
One of the best strings I've used to date. Every bit as good as any custom string you will buy.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Three Rivers Archery strings are all I use.

Comments about B50 Flemish:
STARTED TO UN RAVEL AFTER A FEW ROUNDS
Comments about B50 Flemish:
These B-50 Flemish strings are far superior to Dacron strings. They last for counts shots while performing consistantly. All in all these strings are among the best availible.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Installed on my longbow and have had no problems with stretch.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Excellent bowstring...
Comments about B50 Flemish:
3Rivers Flemish strings for LB and Recurves are always the correct color and length that I order and they last longer than any other strings I have used.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Performed well on my very old bow. Easy to tune to bow. One small area did fray a bit in one small area from string slap against bow, but no change in arrow flight. I shoot a lot of arrows and this string has held up. I Would recommend its use.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about B50 Flemish:
These strings come apart very easily. I have had 2 of these strings and I will not buy anymore. Each one I purchased frayed and came apart without untwisting it, starting to come apart before I even got it on the bow! I would not recommend this string to anybody.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I use these strings on two Ben Pearson recurves that are my "learning" bows. So far, I see no reason to ever use anything else.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Super fast service. Would buy from again.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This is the seventh Flemish string I have purchased for all of my recurves and longbows from current and collector bows. I highly recommend them to all archers who prefer B-50 strings for their bows.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Just started making self bows. Having a lot of success. Everything I have ordered form you is great. Technical support was a great help too!!!
Thanks so much.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great looking several complements from modern bow users.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great bowstrings at an affordable price, they don't get any better than this, unless you make you own.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I use three river strings on all of my bows.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Easy to twist for tuning.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Perfect product. I recommend it.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Very good string, well-made with quality material. Shoots very quietly on my Montana longbow.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great string.. seems pretty tough for in the bush hunting.
[1 of 1 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about B50 Flemish:
The only thing that I don't like about the string is the serving area. The diameter is so large that my arrows with snap nocks fit way too tight! I had to take a round file and open them up. A smaller diameter serving would be nice. Otherwise, it's a nice string.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
My bow is a Lommasson custom longbow and I had no idea of the AMO length. I like the looks of the flemmish strings and when I wore the one on it out I had a heck of a time figuring out how to order a replacement. I was able to order this one by it's actual length and it is just what I needed.Thank you, 3Rivers.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
I have bought these bowstrings for many years. They have always worn very well until the last year or so. It seems the ends now slip occasionally when I never had this problem in the past.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
This is my first recurve. When I purchased the bow the string needed to be replaced. The B50 was recommended. The string feels very strong. I have worked with it for a couple of weeks. My only concern is that there were loose threads from day 1. Not sure if this is common, but I am nervous about the longivity of the string. I will replace it because of the frays. The jury is still out on whether I will try another B50.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
It's what I needed.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
Great product.
Comments about B50 Flemish:
good stuff!!!
